Ditransitive Verb

Ditransitive verbs are verbs that take two objects, a direct object and an indirect object. For example, in the sentence "Haikal gave opal a fried rice," the verb "gave" is ditransitive - it takes the direct object "a fried rice" and the indirect object "opal." The indirect object indicates who receives the direct object. A preposition like "to" can also introduce an indirect object, as in "Lila sent an email to her dad." Ditransitive verbs allow sentences to express an action being done to someone or something.
