III. Procedure PPT presentation


A. Motivation: “Pick-A Door”
Instructions: Choose a door you like. In each door there is a corresponding situation that
you need to identify what would happen next.
B. Presentation
Look at the pair of pictures. How are they related? Which picture tells what happened first?
What happened next?

C. Discussion
What is Cause-and-Effect?

The Cause is the reason for something to happen or the action that makes something to
happen.
For example: Because of war, because of the Covid 19, because she did not wake up early

The Effect is the result of what happened due to its cause or due to its actions.
For example: many were wounded, people were stuck at home, she missed her class

A cause happens first. It tells us ”why” things happened. For us to identify the cause, we should
ask ourselves “why it is happening?” While on the other hand, an effect happens after the
cause. It tells us what happened.

Here are other examples:

Because of illegal logging The flood reached our house.


Ryan stayed up late playing So he was tired in the morning
computer games.

People throw trash on rivers. Rivers became polluted.
