Exercises
From routine service calls to remote inspections, technicians succeed or fail based on their
knowledge. Yet as assets become smarter and more connected, the information needed to
maintain and manage them grows. How can field technicians keep up? With AI and a mobile
platform.

IBM® Maximo® mobile solutions deliver remote and AI-based expert assistance, real-time asset
history and operational data from wearables, safety sensors and diagnostic interfaces to the
digital twin. Explore the Maximo Mobile solution below and discover how intelligent mobile EAM
can keep technicians connected and your organization productive.

This lab is designed to give you an opportunity to discover the ease of use of Maximo Mobile. In
this lab, you learn to :

• Install Maximo Mobile on your mobile device

• Configure Maximo Mobile with Maximo EAM Server instance

• Navigate work orders

• View work orders in list or map view

• Start work on a work order

• Update a work order

• Complete a work order

• Perform an inspection

Important: These exercises are presented in a virtual lab format. A virtual lab is an interactive
simulation of the original virtual machines, containers, or mobile devices. A virtual lab is not an
actual virtual machine, container, or mobile device. Therefore, your interaction opportunities are
restricted to the exercise steps with some minor variance. You use this lab guide, which walks
you through usage and responses for the components that are taught.

You can run the virtual lab multiple times without restriction.
