P.T Johs Larsen is a ship manning and recruitment
agency. Its core business is to provide Indonesian
seafarers worldwide. The company is MLC 2006
Compliance and are well versed in our clients locally as
well as internationally.

Johs Larsen as a local company was established in


February 1953 and has achieved consistent growth over
the ensuing more than 60 years in the provision of
seafarers to the shipping industry. The Crew is a critical
part of our recruitment and selection management. The
talent of seafarers engage on board will make a huge
difference between successful and un successful
manning agents. We ensure that the vessels we support
are manned with qualified and well-trained seafarers
every- time and they have to pass several steps of test
such as interview in English and pass the Marlins test as

information in English. Manning related services includes
medical check-ups and treatment if necessary, along with
P & I claims, long term planning and pool arrangements,
retention, travel arrangements, visa processing,

for crew joining vessels.

Personnel Database Management


On behalf of the principals, Johs Larsen maintains all personnel files for
safe-keeping purposes which includes copies of contracts, medical
reports, crew training record and other pertinent document vital to the
seafarer employment.

Document And Travel Visas Processing


Johs Larsen has strong ties with the government agencies such as Ministry of Trans-
port cq. Directorate of Sea Transport, Consortium of Indonesian Manning Agencies
(CIMA), Indonesian Seafarers Union, Ministry of Justice and Ministry of ManPower,
allowing an expendited arrangement documentation, travel eligibility requirements and
visas arrangement.

With its long good relationship with the Embassies in Jakarta, it is almost no significant
delay of visa processing for the crew to obtain the C 1/D visa from the US Embassy or
transit-visa (MCV) from the Australian Embassy and/or other Embassies

and Training

Marine training education requirements can be fulfilled through Johs Larsen in association with
a number of approved maritime school and training institutions such as:
