Tinkercad:

Tinkercad is a web-based 3D design and modeling tool developed by


Autodesk. It is designed to make it easy for beginners and hobbyists
to create and prototype 3D models for various purposes, such as 3D
printing, electronic circuits, and virtual reality environments.
With Tinkercad, users can create 3D models by dragging and
dropping shapes and components onto a virtual canvas. It provides a
simple and intuitive interface that allows users to manipulate objects,
resize them, combine them, and apply various modifications and
transformations.
Tinkercad also supports the design of electronic circuits by providing
a set of virtual components such as resistors, capacitors, LEDs, and
microcontrollers. Users can connect these components together and
simulate the behavior of their circuits before building them in the
physical world.
Basic Components:
1. Resistor: A passive component that restricts the flow of electric
current.
2. Capacitor: An electronic component that stores and releases
electrical energy.
3. LED (Light Emitting Diode): A semiconductor device that
emits light when an electric current passes through it.
4. Switch: A device that can open or close an electrical circuit.
5. Battery: A portable power source that supplies electrical
energy.
6. Ground: A reference point in a circuit for measuring voltages.
7. Arduino: An open-source microcontroller board used for
building interactive electronic projects.
These are the basic components of the circuits which can be used
to design a meaningful working circuit.

Temperature Control RGB
In a temperature-controlled RGB circuit, there's a special light that
can change colors. It uses a sensor to measure how hot or cold things
are. Then, a small computer called a microcontroller takes that
information and makes the light change its colour based on the
temperature. So, you can see different colours that tell you if it's hot
or cold. It's a fun way to show how the temperature changes!

Now what is temperature sensor?


=> A temperature sensor in Tinkercad is a component that measures
the ambient temperature and provides temperature readings for use in
electronic projects.

Steps Required To Make Temperature Sensor RGB
Step-1: Open Tinkercad: Go to Tinkercad.com and create an account
or log in.

After opening the Tinkercad, it’s looks like this:


Step-2: Start a new project: Click on "Create New Design" and go to
circuits to start a new project in Tinkercad.

Step-3: Add components: From the components library, select and


drag a temperature sensor (thermistor) and an RGB LED onto the
workspace.
Step-4: Connect the temperature sensor; Connect the Power leg to 5v
pin, Ground leg to GND pin and Vout leg to A0 pin as shown in
below fig.
Step-5: Connect the RGB LED: Connect the Cathode leg of RGB
LED to GND pin, red leg to pin 11(digital pin), blue to pin 10(digital
pin) and green to pin 9(digital pin). Connect the resistor to the cathode
leg. The connection is shown in the below fig.

Step-6: Write the code: Write the code using the blocks to set the
colour of LED as the temperature changes. Here I choose the colour
which you show in the given code but you are free to choose your
own colour. The codes for this circuit is given below:

Step-7: Simulate and observe: Click on the "Start Simulation" button


to run the simulation after clicking it becomes green. Observe how the
RGB LED changes colour based on the simulated temperature reading
from the temperature sensor.

Step-8: Experiment and iterate: Play around with the code and circuit
design to customize the colours and temperature ranges. Test different
scenarios and have fun seeing how the RGB LED reacts to
temperature changes. See the experiment below:
