General Instructions:
1. All questions are compulsory.
2. The question paper consists of 16 questions divided into four sections A, B, C and D. SECTION-A comprises
of 4 questions of 1 mark each; SECTION-B comprises of 4 questions of 2 marks each SECTION-C comprises
of 4 questions of 3 marks each and SECTION-D comprises of 4 questions of 4 marks each.
3. There is no overall choice in the question paper.
4. Use of calculator is not permitted.
SECTION - A
Question numbers 1 to 4 carry one mark each
1. Simplify: √45 − 3√20 + 4√5
2. Find the zero of the polynomial 2𝑥 + 3.
3. In which quadrant will the point lie, if the ordinate is 4 and the abscissa is −1.
4. If 𝑥 > 0 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑦 < 0, then in which quadrant the point (𝑥, 𝑦) lies.
SECTION - B
Question numbers 4 to 8 carry two marks each
