Description of activity
Support FAO team in organizing meetings with Authorities at Governorate and District level.
Nominate and contract nutrition specialists in each targeted district to conduct awareness raising sessions to
selected women beneficiaries in accordance with the selection criteria provided by FAO.
Mobilize and sensitize communities and establish community beneficiary committees to identify beneficiaries in
accordance with selection criteria defined by FAO and agreed with Governorate and District authorities. This
includes the selection of one woman of reproductive age from each household targeted for agricultural or
livestock input support to participate in the nutrition training.
Beneficiaries’ registration based on methodology provided by FAO and uploaded in FAO data information system
(KOBO) and conduction of a detailed need overview.
Disseminate “FAO Beneficiary Feedback Mechanism Flyers” to beneficiaries during distribution, meetings,
workshops and ensure FAO contact details for complaints and feedback prominently feature on the banners used
during distribution.
Storage facility arrangement for reception and distribution of inputs to beneficiaries.
Conduct a nutrition training to all selected women beneficiaries to raise awareness on household nutrition and
best practices
Distribute inputs (livestock kits and crops kits) to the targeted beneficiaries. Ensure distribution is well coordinated and
aligned with FAO’s AAP policy.
Ensure cash transfer activities are conducted as per FAO guidance and standards.
Facilitate the training and awareness raising as per methodology provided by FAO.
Collect the required information (baseline data) during the registration of beneficiaries or at the time of
distribution using the forms and templates provided by FAO to measure the impact of the project on the
livelihoods of the
beneficiaries. The questionnaire and sampling will be provided by the FAO M&E Unit.
Implement protective measures against COVID-19 while conducting all mobilization, sensitization, registration
and distribution activities.
Preparation, submission and review of the final report.
