II. RATIONALE:
Schools are one of the most important institutions in a community and we
should see to it that it is always safe not only its facilities but also the clientele who
benefited- students/learners.
The provision of water at schools is one of the highly effective practices in
increasing access and learning outcomes. In addition to the necessity of water to
maintain personal and environmental hygiene, reducing student dehydration in schools
has been associated with improved cognitive abilities. (unicef)
Relative to DepEd Order NO. 10, “ Policy and Guidelines on the Comprehensive
Water, Sanitation and Hygiene in Schools (WinS) Program.” This is to improve success to
adequate water supply, functional toilets and effective hygiene promotion. The Salvador
C. Resol National High School is a newly established secondary in the district of Candoni
situated at Brgy. Gatuslao, Candoni Negros Occidental. The school has its site and luckily
a recipient of Provincial School Board Fund amounting to One Hundred Thousand Pesos
(Php. 100,000.00). Therefore, the school administrator, faculty, parents and students
agreed to allocate this amount for the installation of school water system.
III. OBJECTIVES:
1. To access sustainable and safe for drinking water in school.
2. To sustain the water supply needed in Gulayan Sa Paaralan
3. To maintain and motivating learning environment.
