II. Short Narrative Report


The In-Service Training (INSET) on Teaching Reading and was held on
February 10, 2023. The objective of the training was
1.To establish the importance of teaching
reading to students.
2. To recognize the difference between
teaching reading and text analysis.
3.To explore reading strategies and their
use in the second language classroom.
4.To apply the reading strategies to a
reading passage.
5.To analyze the importance of reading
aloud in the classroom.

The training was attended by 13 teachers, who were given a comprehensive


overview of Teaching Reading.

Mrs. Elizabeth H. Concepcion, the speaker emphasized the importance of


Teaching Reading, as it enables pupils to read more quickly and effectively.

The training ended with a reflection session.
