Project Name: Bell Canada

Bell Canada (commonly referred to as Bell) is a Canadian telecommunications company


headquartered at 1 Carrefour Alexander-Graham-Bell in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Historically, Bell Canada has been one of Canada's most important and most powerful
companies and, in 1975, was listed as the fifth largest in the country. The company is named
after the inventor of the telephone, Alexander Graham Bell, who also co-founded Bell
Telephone Company in Boston, Massachusetts. Bell Canada operated as the Canadian subsidiary
of the Bell System from 1880 to 1975. However, unlike the other regional Bell operating
companies, Bell Canada had its own research and development labs.

MICROSOFT SQL SERVER DBA FUNCTIONS:


 Installation, Configuration, Maintenance of SQL Server 2008/2012/2014/2016.
 Daily checking the tickets assign the tickets and resolve them as per priority levels using
Tool
 Providing and revoking access to users.
 Troubleshoot various problems that arise in day-to-day work and fix the issues
 Monitoring Clusters and troubleshooting Cluster Issues, Performing failovers.
 Sync up with the users through Microsoft Teams meetings to know the user problems
based on the ticket priority.
 Constantly checking functionality of the environment and taking necessary action when
an alert is thrown from alerting mechanism by taking a prompt action based on its
severity and considering the resolution of the issues as most primitive tasks.
 Checking OS, SQL Server, Security, and other logs for unusual events.
 Refreshing the data as per client to the client requirement.
 Investigate the reported issues, keep the ticket records and ensure resolution of issues
and close the requests within SLA.
 Upgrading the Server and applying the Service Packs and Hot fixes
 If is there any production changes, we required RFC from users as per change
Management
 Daily interact with customers is there any performance related issue, and work with
them, troubleshoot accordingly through ticket numbers
 Creation of SQL Logins, Roles and Authentication as per the user request
 Providing Security by giving access permission to users at various levels
 Moving database files from source to destination place
 Identifying and Resolving performance issues of the server based on the priority
 Ensuring high availability of the databases with Replication & its topologies
 Monitoring SQL Server performance by finding deadlocks and blocking
 Monitoring the performance of the servers as per checklist.
 Maintaining & involving HA that includes Log shipping, database mirroring, clustering
and Always ON.
 Migrations from on-premise to Azure IAAS and PAAS servers
