It was the first day of Chinese New


Year. Chong Fatt and his family wore
new clothes and entertained the
guests in their home.

That night, Chong Fatt wanted to


play with firecrackers. His parents
told him to wait for them but he did
not listen. As Chong Fatt was lighting
up a firecracker, it exploded in his
hands. Chong Fatt cried out in great
pain.

Chong Fatt had to be admitted as his


hands were seriously injured. The
doctor advised him to be more
careful next time. Chong Fatt
regretted his actions and promised to
listen to his parents from that day
onwards.
