Counting

Type-1 : Count number of triangles inside square and Rectangle

Example -1

1 2 5

Number of parts = 4

Number of Diagonals = 2

Total Number of Triangles = 4 x 2 = 8

Example -2

Number of Parts = 8

Number of Diagonals =2

Total Number of Triangles = 8 x 2 = 16

Example -3

Number of parts = 4

Number of Diagonals = 2

Total Number of Triangles = 4 x 2 = 8

Number of parts = 4

Number of Diagonals = 2

Total Number of Triangles = 4 x 2 = 8

Total Number of Triangles = 8+ 8+2 = 18


Example -4

Number of Triangle = 4 x 2 = 8 in each rectangle

Total Number of Triangles = 8 +8+8+4 =28

Type -2 : Counting Triangles with the triangle having number of bisects with vertex

Example -1

Number of Triangles = 3

1 2 = 1+2 = 3 or number of parts x ( no of parts+1) /2 = 2
=3

Example -2

4×5
1 2 3 4 = 1 +2+3+4= 10 or 2
=10

1 2 3 4 5 = 1 +2+3+4+5 = 15 or 2

Type – 3 : Counting Triangles with the triangle having number or bisects with vertex and horizontal lines

Number of Triangle = 2

=6

Type -4 : Counting triangles with in embedded Triangle

Number of Triangle = 5

Formula : 4n+1

n= number of embedded triangles

Number of Triangle = 4x2 + 1 = 8+1=9

Number of Triangle = 4x 3 + 1 = 13

Type-5 : Counting Triangles with in the Particular pattern of Triangle

= 13.125 (take integer number)

= 13
