Training Guide For Lecture

Login as a Lecturer
username: lecturer
password: lecturer

Input your login detail and click log in button.

After you log in you dashboard page will open .


This lecturer already have course assign and enrolled in.
When you open a course you will see turn editing on button at the top of the course page.

Click on add an activity or resource

When you click on the add an activity or resource the above tool will pop up for you to choose
Using File tool.
To add Course Material like Videos file, text file(pdf), Audio files etc.
Same process applies to all.

Drag and drop your course material from your local computer and fill field marked

Select your preferred appearance


Select your preferred completion tracking

Click on save and display or save and return to course either way you have save.
To Create an Assignment
Follow the same procedure and click on Assignment tool

you can type your assignment question on description or you upload an assignment file on the
additional files box
Set the availability of the assignment to the student
Set the submission types either online or file submission or both
when you select online , you need to enable the word limit
Also select all file types to allow the system to accept any files uploaded by the student

Submission settings should maintain this as seen in the image above.


Click save and return to course or save and display either way you have saved.

To Set up URL
using the URL helps not to overload the server with large files
you can copy ur link from an external source and upload it on the LMS

To do this follow procedures and click on activity or resource


Copy the link of your resource and paste in on the external url field
select your preferred appearance
click save and display or save and return to course either way you have saved.

To add question to Question Bank


From your course page, click on setting icon to see option as seen in the image below

Click the more to navigate to the course administration


Go to Question bank and click on import

Choose Aiken Format


upload your quiz file in .txt

Upload a queston using the format in the image below

Once you have imported, below is successful question upload


To set up a quiz

Select quiz and set up the parameters


Below is the the quiz lecture view with questions

You need to add questions from the question bank


Click on the add drop down menu to sell from question bank
This question bank will pop up .
You will select from the question bank

Click on add selected question to the quiz

Check shuffle to automatically shuffle the questions

Above image shows that lecture view of the quiz


therefore a lecture can preview the question before he makes the quiz available for the student.
Self-Enrolment for Course
from the course Page

Click on more to navigate to course administration


Select user and click on the enrolment methods

Click on the eye icon to make the self-enrolment open


To view Participant list from course page

Click on the participants


To enrol use manually
click on enrol users button at the top right

Search for the user and assign and also select assign role as a student or lecture or manage etc.

Once you are done selecting the users, click on the enrol users to enrol the users.
