SECTION - A
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
1. SCOPE OF WORKS
1.1. DESIGN, MANUFACTURE AND SUPPLY
1.1.1. Design, manufacture and supply of Pre-Engineered steel building system includes
builtup column & rafter, jack beams, mono rail, eave runner, portal/ angle bracing, tie
member, sag roads, rafter bracing, cleats, anchor bolts, templates, connection bolts etc.
complete as per design and drawings supplied by consultant/ client and as per
specifications and roof sheeting, side sheeting, gable sheeting, canopy sheeting (top &
bottom),deck sheet, flashing, trims, gutter, ridge panel, poly carbonate transparent
sheet, turbo-ventilator, stitching screw including all accessories as required for the
successful and satisfactory completion of the Pre- Engineered steel building system.
Application of paint including touch up paints as per specifications.
1.1.2. Design, manufacture & supply of galvanized Purlin, side girts & gable girts as per
specification.
1.2. ERECTION
1.2.1. Erection of Pre-Engineered steel building system as specified in item no. 1.1.1 & 1.1.2
including erection tools & plants complete accordance with the approved Design &
Drawing to relevant standard, codal provisions and contract conditions to the entire
satisfaction of client.
2.4. Fabrication of the structure shall not be taken up at shop till all the G.A/ design drawings are
reviewed & approved by the client/ consultant and comments/ suggestions given by client/
consultant are incorporated by Supplier.
2.5. The Shop Fabrication Drawings shall adhere to the approved design and general arrangement
drawings by the client/ consultant and shall be developed after incorporating all the
comments/ suggestions given by client/ consultant without any extra cost to and any
implication on time schedule for completion of work.
2.6. The shop drawings shall be provided to the representative deputed for stage inspections
during fabrication and of the material prior to dispatch.
2.7. Supplier shall submit following final drawings/ documents to the client/ consultant in 3 set of
hard copy along with soft copy in DWG format.
2.7.1. Anchor bolt setting plans.
2.7.2. Building column reaction drawings/ documents.
2.7.3. Structural erection drawings with connection detailing.
2.7.4. Supplier erection manual.
2.8. Supplier shall submit detailed overall work programme and a bar chart indicating the duration
and timing of all major activities showing the desired milestones.
2.9. Supplier shall submit the quality assurance plan duly signed by the corporate head or any
other authorized person.
2.10. Supplier shall submit list of work completed in last 3 years along certificate from customers/
end users for satisfactory performance of the work.
3. STRUCTURAL CONSIDERATION
3.1. LOADING ON STRUCTURE
3.1.1. Dead load should be considered as per actual.
3.1.2. Imposed load on mezzanine floor shall be 500 kg/ sq.m.
3.1.3. False ceiling & Exhaust system load 50 kg/ sq.m at blender & mixing station area.
3.1.4. Monorail of capacity 0.5 T as per tender drawing.
3.2. STRUCTURAL MEMBERS
3.2.1. Structural members shall be designed as per American code.
3.2.2. All T and I type built-up members of mezzanine columns, beams and jack beam shall
be welded from both side (continuous welding) and rafter, gable columns shall have
continuous weld at one side and chain weld at other side.
3.2.3. Welded splice joint shall be provided in web & flange at proper length (not less than
6m)
3.2.4. Minimum thickness of primary members shall not be less than 5 mm.
3.2.5. Minimum thickness of secondary members (Purlin/ Side Girts) shall not be less than
1.6 mm (base material).
3.2.6. Any butt joints shall be with 100% ultrasonic quality weld to ensure full strength of the
parent plate / section. At least 10% butt weld joints shall be tested by ultra-sonic
method (test report shall be submitted).
3.2.7. All edges of plates & sections shall be smooth, free from rough cut edges.
3.2.8. Deck sheet shall be design to take dead load of deck slab plus imposed load.

maximum spacing.
4.1.11. Sheeting material shall be considered as following and all other accessories including
trim, closure, bolts, fixtures etc shall be suitably considered accordingly.

Note : Poly carbonate sheets should have UV-protective coating for improved weather ability.
8.2. All vendor/ contractor machinery, tools equipment etc will be listed in duplicate and endorsed
by client security while entering the work premises. This document should be produced for
obtaining gate pass while taking out any items outside the work premises.
12. SAFETY
12.1. Device appropriate safety methodologies for follow up by all concerned with regard to
national codes/ statutory regulations.
12.2. To ensure that the agencies are aware of the appropriate provisions to be made by them.
12.3. Necessary cordoning of areas where critical tests/ erection activity etc is in progress.
Erection methods shall prepare by the contractor before lifting of critical items.
12.4. Periodically checking of all mechanisms and auxiliaries for performance etc.
12.5. Proper storage of gas cylinders from source of heat, correct handling of cylinders both during
and after use, use goggles during welding, provision of incombustible screen.
12.6. Vendor/ contractor will depute safety officer to take care of safety aspect of daily activities.
All the personal protective equipment's like helmet, safety belt, shoes, will be of ISO
approved and also approved by client/ consultants.
12.7. Vendor/ contractor will be responsible for safety of all workers working under vendor/
contractor scope of work.
12.8. Worker prior to start working at site should undergo safety training at our safety department,
and medical test.

APPENDIX
We have examined the enquiry document and understood the technical requirement. We hereby
confirm that the scope of supply and other details of our offer confirm to all specification other
than deviations listed below. Purchaser will not entertain any deviations other than those specified
below. The deviations listed below are subject to Purchaser acceptance in writing.
We hereby confirm, our acceptance to all the Terms and Conditions of purchase including all
documents enclosed with the inquiry which will form part of the Purchase Order, if awarded to us.
