The document contains 23 word problems related to time, distance, speed, and ratios involving various modes of transportation (trains, cars, walking). The problems can be solved using concepts like speed = distance/time, calculating distances and times given two speeds, and setting up and solving equations with multiple variables. Ratios of speeds and distances covered are also compared in some problems.

(a) 340 km (b) 480 km (c) 360 km d) 450 km (e) None of
these
Sol. Average speed of a tractor = 25 km / h
The speed of a bus in an hour = 25 × 2 = 50 km
The speed of a car in an hour = 9/5 * 50 = 90 km
So, the distance covered by car in 4 h is
90 × 4 = 360 km

Sol. Walking + Riding = 6 hrs 30 min ……(1)
2 Riding = 6 hrs 30 min – 2 hrs 10 min
= 4 hrs 20 min ……(2)
Solving the above two relations (equations);
2 × (1) – (2) gives
