1. This assignment aims to fulfil CLO1 – Describe the fundamental statistical techniques
for data collection, presentation, summarization, and interpretation.

2. The marks allocated for this assignment is 20% of total marks.

3. This assignment consists of THREE (3) questions.

4. Answer ALL questions.

5. The answers must be submitted to the respective lecturer through Google Classroom
OR Learning Management System (LMS) by 27 May 2022 before 11.59 pm.

6. Work in a group of a maximum of four students.

7. Write down your Group Members’ Name, ID, Subject Code and Section No. in the
front page of your answer sheet.

8. Plagiarism, copying and cheating will not be tolerated where no marks will be given,
and disciplinary actions can be taken.

The lecturer wants to investigate the performance of students on one of the Campuses in
Malaysia. On that particular Campus, 15 programs are being offered to the students. Out of
15 programs, she randomly selected one program consisting of all Computer Science
students as her sample. All the Computer Science students are given a set of
questionnaires to be answered during class time.

a. State the population and sample for the above study.

b. Identify the variable of interest for this study and state its level of measurement.

c. Name the sampling technique used by the lecturer and state the sampling frame.
(2 marks)
d. What is the data collection method used to collect data? Give one advantage of this
method.
