DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN ARTS GRADE III

Content Standards – Demonstrate understanding of lines, texture, shape and depth contrast ( size, texture)
through drawing.

Performance Standards – Creates an artwork of people in the province/region. On the spot sketching of plants
trees, or buildings and geometric line design shows a work of art based on close observation of natural
objects in his/her surrounding nothing it’s size, shape and texture.

MELCS – A3PR – Ih

I. Objective :
a. Identify the different works of people in a province or region.
b. Create a pencil or pen drawing of a scene in a daily life where people in the province/region
show their occupation by the action they are doing.
c. Give importance to one’s culture by sharing the way of life of people in the community
through their works.

II. Subject Matter :


a. Topic : Pencil or Pen Drawing of a Scene in Daily Life.
b. Reference : K to 12 Learning Materials in ARTS for Grade 3.
c. Materials : Pencil/Pen, bond paper, manila paper, marker.
d. Value Focus : Pride in ones culture and work.

III. Procedure

A. Preliminary Activities

A1. Prayer
Please stand for our prayer and me I call ( The students will stand up for the prayer)

A2. Greetings
Good morning Grade 3! Before we start to ( Good morning teacher)
our class, can you please pick up pieces of
paper or plastic in front and beside of you. ( Yes teacher)

A3. Checking for attendance


So now! I am going to check your
attendance and if your name is called say ( Yes teacher )
present. Okay!

A4. Classroom Management


Before we start our lesson, may we observe
the following classroom rules as we go
through our discussion.

Classroom Rules:
 Be prepared for class.
 Raise your right hand when you
want to speak.
 Participate in any class activities.
 Be quiet when the teacher is
talking. ( Okay teacher )

I hope that you will be guided by these

 Write a 4-line jingle or a rap about
the occupations of the people in
your place using the tune of any
song.

 Choose three kinds of occupations.
 Take turns in drawing and coloring
three kinds of workers or
occupations in manila paper.

explain to the class your group

our lesson, I will give you an activity which
is a group activity. I will grouped you into 3
groups.

Draw one kind of occupation that you see


in your province or region in a bond paper.
Use pencil or a pen.

Direction : Make a sketch of an object seen inside the classroom.
