Section 2
Write Short Notes

1. Dhruvanka and its usage

Dhruvanka is the constant for the number of completed years. Sun takes 365 days 6
Hrs 9Ms 10 Secs. Ignore the completed weeks then we get 1day 6hrs 9Ms 10 sec
every year. This is the constant for each year called as DHRUVANKA.
Dhruvanka is used for calculating the Varshapravesha. Add Dhruvanka of the
number of completed year of the Native to the weekday and time of birth – Gives us
the week day or a day after or a day before and the time of Varshapravesha.

2. Dwi - Janma year

When Varshaphal Lagna and Birth lagna are same we call it as Dwi – Janma YEAR (
or Year of second birth). Such year is generally Adverse and leads to illness,
disappointment, Loss of Name , fame & wealth.
If the deg is same as birth lagna then the whole year will be troublesome.

3. Muntha and results of Muntha in different houses

Muntha is an important Point in the Annual Chart and located in lagna at the time of Birth.
Each Year Progress by a Rashi. Muntha has been termed as PROGRESSED LAGAN.
Muntha Progress by one sign i.e 30dg in a year, it progresses 2d30’ each month & 5 Mins in
a day (2d30’ by 30). Lord of Muntha is one of the 5 Office bearer in the annual chart.
Results in different house are
• Muntha in 4,6,7,8 and 12 considered inauspicious.
• Muntha in 9,10,11 considered auspicious.
• Muntha in 1,2,3,5 yield good results through native’s personal efforts.

4. Steps taken in preparing Varshapala chart manually

a) For the calendar Year in Question. Find the native’s completed years of life by subtracting
the year of birth from current year. i.e Current year MINUS the year of birth.
b) Find out the DHRUVANKA or constant for the completed year by referring to table.
c) Note the weekday of the birth along with time.
d) Take for weekday 0 for Saturday , 1 for Sunday , 2 for Monday, 3 for Tuesday, 4 for
Wednesday , 5 for Thursday, 6 for Friday
e) Add Dhruvanka of the number of completed year of the Native to the weekday and time
of birth. This gives us the week day or a day after or a day before and the time of
Varshapravesha

f) Prepare the Varshapahala Chart for the Native using this day and time of
Varshapravesha, with place of birth as same. Note: the Sun position will be same as in
the birth lagna chart.

Section 3
1. Tajika Aspects
There are 3 Tajika aspects.
1. Friendly (Mitra Drishti) aspect on a House and planet placed in 3,5,9 & 11 when
counted from Itself. Further Divided into 2 types
• Very Friendly in 5/9 axis from each Other
• Semi – Friendly or Secretly Friendly (Gupta Mitra) in 3/11 Axis from each other
2. Inimical (Shatru Drishti) . Planets become enemies to each other when they are in
Kendras (1,4,7,10) from each other. Further divided into 2 types
• Open Inimical: When planets in 1/7 axis
• Secretly Inimical: When planets in 4/10 Axis
3. Neutral or NO INFLUENCE on each other – 2,12,6 & 8 houses from each other

Example chart: From below chart we observe that

• Friendly aspect: Sun and Mercury have friendly aspect (3rd) on Jupiter and Lagna. So
Jupiter is friendly planet to Sun and Mercury.
• Inimical aspect: Sun and Mercury have inimical aspect (4th) on Moon and Ketu, as well
as (10th) on Mars and Rahu. Which are secretly inimical as well.
Sun and Mercury are inimical as they are together (1st).
So, for Moon, Ketu, Mars and Rahu are enemies for Sun and Mercury.
• Neutral aspect: Sun and Mercury have neutral aspect (2nd) on Venus and as well as (8th)
on Saturn. So Saturn is neutral to Sun and Mercury.

2. Rules of Ithasala yoga

Means “ the Yoga of Intermixing”. It is also called as Muthsil Yoga. Generally Considered
Benefic. House Ownership of the planets – results are seen
Rules
a) Faster moving planet should be behind the slower planet or the slower planet should be
ahead of the faster planet
b) They should be in Mutual aspect (Friendly or Inimical) Lagnesh & Karyesha is seen
c) Planets should be in the Deeptamsha Range. SUN – 15d, Mo – 12d, Mar-8d, Mer-7d,

Ma

Vasha Kundali

Mo

Example: Mars at 7deg and Sun at 3deg. Sun is faster than Mars & is behind. (House sign is
not taken only the Degree)
• Both are in Mutual aspect: 5/9 axis.
• Deeptamsha of Sun is 15d & Mar is 8D (15+8/2=11.5) mean of the two planets.
• Slower planet Mars has to be within 11.5d from Sun for Ithasala yoga to take place between
SUN and MARS. MA 7deg – SUN 3deg = 4deg, hence 4deg is within 11.5 deg
• Note: Strength of planets plays a big role in the result.

4. Conditions associated to consider Moon as year lord

• Moon is not considered as lord of the year because it is MILD in nature and therefore
unable to govern. Even if Moon may be the strongest of the 5, It may be aspecting

strength out of the 5.

of the 5 office- bearers.
• Moon is the strongest of the 5 office- bearers Moon should be aspecting LAGNA,
Vareshapravesha occurring in the Night and MOON is also the TRI – RASHI Pati.
