1) The Arabian Peninsula was an important center for trade, culture, religion and art due to its strategic location between Africa, Asia and Europe. 2) The peninsula was home to various Arab tribes that were divided into three main groups - the Perishing Arabs, Pure Arabs, and Adnanian Arabs. 3) The Pure Arabs and Adnanian Arabs were further divided into many tribes such as the Himyar, Kahlan, Azd, Lakhm, Judham, Kinda and others, with the most prominent being the Quraysh tribe that the Prophet Muhammad descended from.
