ABSTRACT
The goal of this project is to create a three-dimensional cylindrical heat

pipe model and simulate its performance by changing the working fluid and its

material of an incompressible fluid. Using CREO design software the three

dimensional symmetric model is created. To apply numerical techniques to a

couple system with standard levels, SOLIDWORKS Software is employed. It is

well established fact that the numerical techniques perform excellently for a

variety of fluids, heat inputs and materials. The numerical approach is used to

verify the outcome of earlier studies .This project demonstrates the effect of

properties on thermal performance of a cylindrical heat pipe using different

fluids and material. The model is used to explain the evaporation and

condensation effects on heat transfer in the liquid-wick zone and source. The

cylindrical heat pipe's temperature distribution profile, centre line velocity and

centre line pressure due to circumferential heat are obtained from the developed

model.
