The Durham District School Board will hold its 20th annual Parents as Partners conference on November 12, 2011 at Sinclair Secondary School in Whitby, Ontario. Internationally recognized speaker Craig Kielburger will give the keynote address on raising children to care about social issues. The $30 registration fee includes workshops on literacy, digital citizenship, restorative practices and social justice, as well as childcare. Local organizations will also have information booths at the event.

Childcare provided

Supervised child care provided on site For children aged 3 - 10 years A nutritious snack will be provided for children This is a peanut and nut free child care facility Educational activities provided for children 6 -10 years. Daycare activities provided for children 3 - 5 years of age. Children must be toilet-trained. Children must be registered by October 29, 2011 and is based on a first come first served basis.
