[Im Romadell M. Angeles. Madell for short. Im 23 years of age and Im a graduate of Business
Administration major in Marketing Management. I was born and raised in Bataan but Im
currently based in Manila. I have been employed at the National Meat Inspection Service, an
attached agency of Department of Agriculture, for 3 years now, as a Human Resource
Development staff.

National Meat Inspection Service’s main function is to ensure safe meat for all consumers.
Gender and Development (Magna Carta for Women) seeks to achieve gender and equality
and inclusiveness in the workplace. It focuses in making everyone; women, men and Trans to
be included and concerned in decision making process.

My main responsibilities are assisting in facilitating and conducting personnel learning and
development, as well as Gender and Development Activities, and other clerical works….and
Im also a freelance make-up artist]

 Current work, what are your job specification or duties and responsibilities?

 Why do you want to resign to your current job?


[I want to explore more. I want to have thorough experience in the corporate world. Also, I
want to be able to provide more for my family.]

 Why should we hire you? (despite the lack of experience in corporate/private sector)
[I am a team player. Im easy to work with, I can adapt easily to new environment and I can
cope with challenges.
I know that having not much experience in private entity could be a disadvantage for me,
but I truly believe that there’s always a room for me to learn. Learning is a continuous
process in gaining knowledge and skills and Im very much willing and eager to learn
something new]

 Are you a team player?


[Yes. Im an active listener and I can work along with other people.]

 Strength/s and Weakness/es


[Strengths- Im eager to learn.
Weakness- I doubt myself sometimes. I know my capabilities but there were instances that
Im intimidated but Im always pushing myself to be more confident and positive. It’s an
everyday struggle with myself but Im getting through it.

 How do you work under pressure?


[Be calm. Always calm yourself when you’re under pressure so that you can think and work
clearly.]

 How do you handle rejection?


[Accept it, reassess, and take it as an inspiration for a room for improvement and move on.]

 What does failure mean to you?


[It’s a challenge. It means that you there’s more that you can do, there’s more that you can
prove. When you fail and fall, you get up stronger. It’s a process of being better.]

 What have you learned from your past employer? (having different environment from
corporate world)
[Challenge myself to the things Ive never done before. Overcome my fears. Empathic and
compassionate towards others. Ive learned to be more patient. Be strong, especially with
the emergence of COVID19. From being stuck to total lockdown, having an outbreak within
the agency, losing a colleagues. It was hard. But it really takes a not just physical but a strong
mental state to survive in the new normal.]

 What motivates you?


[My family. They are the reason why I get up every morning to strive harder. And also,
myself, I want to be able to find what I truly want for myself. I believe we all have a purpose
in life but, as for me, I still haven’t discovered it… but as for now I want to equip myself with
knowledge for the future.]

 How do you cope with a sudden change in environment?


[I familiarize myself first and observe.]

 What do you see yourself 5-10 years from now?
