Department of Education: Lesson Plan in Mathematics

This lesson plan outlines a mathematics lesson on data types for 7th grade students. It introduces qualitative and quantitative data, as well as discrete and continuous variables. Examples are provided for each data type. Students are asked to classify different variables and data as discrete/continuous or qualitative/quantitative. As an assignment, students research nominal, ordinal, interval and ratio variables. The overall goal is for students to understand different types of data and how they are classified.
