Manual range

We suggest you read the entire contents of this manual to get a

secure and efficient use of the printer, please keep the manual for

reference in any Place at any time. Before operating the machines,

please understand the basic system, warning, the points of

attention and hints.

 Chapter 1 Note
Safety Conditions

Hints: Means what should understand during the operating.

Notice: Tell operator the system may be damaged if do not do

the Normal programs.

Warning: Tell operator may cause body injury if do not step the

normal programs.

Tips:

1.Tips: Only qualified and trained staff to do printer maintenance.

2. The electronic components on the control board of the printer are

very sensitive to electrostatic, easy to damage.

3. The internal voltage of this equipment have a risk of electric

shock.

4. Both hands and clothes should be keep a safety distance from

Moving parts of the model.

5. During the working, operater must not touch the print head.

6. Properly arrange the power line, avoid tripping danger.

7. If cut off power supply, should hold the power plug, shall not pull

the power wired.

8. If change, should use the same electrical parts in the same

specifications, only use this printer and match the power cable.

9. Do not put and store any items in the printer, meanwhile, and
keep the machine far away from any liquid and pollutants.

10. The equipment can be produced, use, and can launch radio

frequencyenergy,suchas,ifnotfollowtheinstructionsforinstallationand

operation,may cause harmful interference, for residential use, the

user must remove interference at one's own expenses.

 Chapter 2 Symbols

ON Turn on the power, the power is connected.

OFF Turn off the power, the power is disconnect.

Product-Label

This label shows the specs of this model, located at the behind of

the machine’s switch, if there is a change in the actual parameters

on equipment shall prevail.

 Chapter 3 Machine Introduction
3.1 Function

Audley digital hot stamping machine is a small portable desktop

machine, processes gold and silver stamping without making zinc

plate, the computer type setting, namely that do many desirable

jobs, special software control, eliminate the problem of complex

paper, paper, stickers, plastic design, cloth, ribbons, etc. pocket

diary book covers, advertising, professional project, and new

programs, etc.

It saves the costly setting time, and eliminates the mould, mesh,

printing ink and organic solvents that use with the traditional

printing method, which greatly reduces the direct and indirect cost.

If the machine is used in a family environment, it may produce radio

interference, in this case, may require the user to take proper

measures of protection.

⒈ please check if there is damage on package or appearance,

kindly contact with us if finding any abnormal, then we can solve

the problem immediately.

⒉ Please check parts list products, product contains the following

items:

○6Alcohol (used to clean the print head, if is China may not have
alcohol)

Notice:
① Package size:69X63X49cm, Equipment should be considered

when placed operator's access should also be considered, the

network cable and power connection position.

② It should be placed on the plate that at least with stand 2 times of

the weight of the machine.

③ Equipment if mention undeserved, can cause serious damage,

shall not use upper case and parts equipment mentioned. Please

from the bottom of the equipment hands mentioned.

④ Do not touch the head directly with hands.

⑤ Please keep well of packing materials for future use.

3.4 Connect Power and Lan Cable

Notice：

①Random for power and network cable adaptation of the rated

Power products and data transmission, if use different normal

socket, please check the power if it is suitable for the machine.

②Check the power switch located at“0”that means power off.

1.The power line should be firmly plugged in machine out let.

⒉The power line should be plugged in a grounding line socket.

 ⒊ The network cable should be firmly plugged in the machine

port.

⒋ The other end of the network cable can be directly inserted into

a computer's network port or insert in LAN switches.

⒌ Please turn on the power after plugging the Lancable.

⒍ Please use the network cable that length not extending

2meters.

⒎U disk interface is used to upgrade the product of the firmware

programs, such as necessary to update, the company will and your

Odysseus to contact, give you how to update the instructions.

8.The machine is by the LAN, which can make a computer control

many sets of equipment, and can realize the wireless network

controlling, but do not suggest the same computer network

connection to install many equipments.

 Chapter 4 Main Components
4.1 Power

Notice: If not the qualified or trained professionals, please do not

open outside electronic devices.

4.2 Indicator and Button

Power The indicator light is on when the power is connected.

Ready When printing is ready, the indicator light is on.

Online This light up, said equipment in reset condition.

Print When the machine is to receive printing tasks, press this

button, The machine begins the printing job.

Reset When the machine is working, if press it, the working table

and print head will be in the original place, the printing task stops,

so please use this button with caution.

4.3 Foil Device

Feeding dish Used for installation of foil.

Receiving dish Used for gathering the used foil, and provide

appropriate tension, prevent foil to fold.

Guide bar Used to direct the foil transmission, prevent foil to fold.

Print head Used in foil heating pressure and foil imaging.

Working table Printing media on the table.

Note: the print head maybe rubbed or electrostatic to cause

permanent damage. For the details, refer to the chapter 6"the print

head maintenance".
 Chapter 5 Installation of Foil

The machine is with part of the foil sample ,in order to avoid

damage of the print head, must not print without the foil.

① Put the foil in feeding dish gently, must launch it in a clockwise

direction. The foil(around the bottom of the side)is under the

print head.

② Insert the foil tube on the receiving dish, recycle the used foil.

Make sure that one end of the foil tube is strong adsorption on the

receiving dish.

③ Install the foil guide stem from A and the print head and guide

bar under the B.

④ Be fixed to one end of the foil receiving plate to fasten the top,

labeled recovery a piece of adhesive tape.

○5 Clockwise empty recycle carton, tight the foil, and check

whether level of the foil line, without twisted or folded.
Note: It is very important for the foil correct installation, if it is in

folding, it will cause printing defects. The foil quality also directly

influences the printing quality and the print head life. The brand

Audley foil is a carefully prepared and strict testing for the machine,

it can meet the demand of the machine. If using the foil without

approval, it can cause damage to the machine, it is with no

warranty, and the cost will be provided to repair the machine.

 Chapter 6 Installation of Driver
Before use this equipment prior to installation print driver. The

driver in the user CD. Here to Windows 7 operating system for

example, instructions how do you install the driver. First extract

your driver. The machine only supports Windows XP/Windows 7

operating system, temporary don't support VISTA. According to

different operating systems, choose your printer; If your operating

system is a 32 bit, please choose the 32 bit driver installation, 64-bit

operating system please choose 64 a driver installation.

1. Key-driver Installation

This is the soft dog(the key), this is useful for the foil control

center. You must setup the key-driver first, and then must

insert the sfot dog in the computer, then you can run the foil

control center.
Open the file "USB-key Driver" and click " "

Click "Next"
Click "Finish"

The USB-key driver is installed

2. Install printer
First decompression file "audley Setup", if you computer is 32

bit systerm,open file" fi", if you computer is 64 bit systerm, open the

file "fi_64". Click the "uninsall.exe", then popup dialog like this

Click ok.

Then click the "Printer Setup. Exe", in the popup dialog box

selection. Input printer name, such as "3050 C", select printer type

"audley Xpress" click "ok" button. Can complete installation.

 Chapter 7 pirnting
7.1 Ready to start

In operation before the printer, check the following the operation,

ensure that are completed:

○1The machine has already connected with computer.

○2 The foil was ready.
○3 Printer & computer are in power.
○4The medium has already put on the working table.
○5Keep the machine away from the surrounding objects, prevent
to meet obstacles when working table is moving and damage the

machine.

7.2 Setup of Print Jobs

Set print jobs need to the following steps:

1)To choose a suitable application programs suitable to Windows

system, such as CorelDraw, Microsoft Word etc.

2) Sure printing area.

3) Set the page size.

4）Placed on the page graphics and text.

5) Set print attributes.

6) In print platform placed their materials. (in the top right-hand

corner of the printing work platform placed)

7) Send the printing jobs to the printer.

7.3 edit and print

Printers in the design to suit Windows compatible applications

1. Edit in Core draw

Open coreldraw, must set the page size is 210*297, after finished

the file, click print, then pop up the frame like fowllowing:

Choose printer name "3050 C", and click

"property".
Choose portrait, and then click "advancd"

Choose A4 size or 210*297, then click ok, ok, then reback to

fowllowing frame again:

Click apply, and print, then pop up the foil control center like

following(pls note: must insert the soft dog in the computer and run

the foil control center):

Then click the modify job, setting the printhead force is "5-9" (this

means the printhead pressure when printing, if this parameter too

big, mabe it will damage the printerhead). The cold dot energy is

"13-25" (this means the printhead tempreture when printing, if this

parameter is too big, maybe it will cut the foil) . The edge energy is

0, the pirnthead warmup is 0, the speed down is 0. Keep all the

other parameter default.

Then save job, yes, yes, and you can click the "print" in the foil

control center. The machine began to work, and print out the file.

2. Edit in word

Edit in word, must set the page size "210*297mm". When you

finished edit in word, click pirnt, then the following step is same as

in the coreldraw.
Note:

1. Delete job if you don't want the job in the foil control center, you

can choose the job, and click " delete job" to delete it.

2. Import if your file save on your computer, you can click

"import" to import the file in the foil control centor.

3. Move plate and printhead you can click this, choose "Move

Mode" then can move the plate to right and left , forward and

backward, by your hand.

4. This option play√ when appropriate, and

computer and this product in the current situation, the equipment

will be attached to the network. This option not √ when appropriate,

need to manually click the "connected", the equipment can be

attached to the network.

5. This option play√ when

appropriate, when finished the print job will be deleted automaticly.

Parameter is set

Must connect the printer with computer by the cable, IP

address elected to be automatic get IP. If connect the pirnter to a

exchange box with the cable, must make sure only one computer

run the foil control center.

In your face equipment operation panel, you need to print

materials positioned in the top left-hand corner of the print platform.
 Chapter8 Preventive Maintenance
The print head is a precise and sensitive electronics device. As it

may early damaged by hardware or static.

So in the work situation, for lowing down the risk and adding the

service life of it, please keep enough humidity .

The surface of print head is made up of a kind of thin hardness of

high silica protective film, but it may also be broken by hardware.

So please operate it as below:

1.Do not directly touch the hot area of the print head.

2.To keep the level of print media, without hard particles and

droplet.

3.Do not touch the surface of the print head with metal ware.

4.Tokeeptheworkplacecleanandtidyasfaraspossible.

5.If can guarantee the printing quality, try to minimize print

pressure as:

Clean the Print head

After printing tasks 100 times, please clean the print head as follow:

1.Disconnect the power equipment, and pull out the network cable.

2.Take off the gold foil.

3.Use a swab with alcohol to wipe the print head heating element

gently.

4.After cleaning out the surface, dry up the volatile alcohol with no
alcohol swab.

5.Load on the foil, then continue to print.
