Title of Project Educational Institute Searching with AR Technology
Abstract of the Educational sector and their confusions are around
project us since very long time and we have to waste lots of
time to research in various colleges for our desired
course. Many students who has just passed their
high school comes in new places where they are
unknown about the new places and what they will
going to study but if we are able to develop the
system in which they can able to search various
colleges and their environment through single app in
which live reality i.e. AR technology is used that can
be great for them.
So, to overcome the barrier between students and
their study without wasting time for searching and
wasting time, this app can bring a solution for them.
Augmented Reality is advance system which can
produce reality of any physical world into real world
which make user for better understanding.
Augmented Reality is something new for all of us
but if we can integrate this system with our basic
apps then it will be great for anyone for better
understanding context. We have got lots of basic
application in this field but the main problem of all
those applications is to show overview of the related
colleges but this project is based on AR we can
provide 360 views i.e., AR view for user better
understanding. The local infrastructure like nearby
hostels, hotels can also be seen through same
system. This is the main problem which basic
application is all around and with this application we
can solve this issue.
So this system is going to designed with the motive
to connect students with their best course without
wasting time through the use of technology called
AR(Augmented Reality) . This mobile application will
be developed by using the technology like flutter,
firebase, AR technology etc.

Description of your Augmented Reality is one of the advance version of
artefact the physical world that is going to achieved by the
use of various tools like mobile, digital visual
elements, sounds or other stimuli which will going to
show real-time direct or indirect view of physical real
world(Julie Carmigniani, 2017). In the recent year we
are watching the use of AR and advantage but at
present in context of Nepal, there is very less use of
the AR technology due to which we have to give
some focused on it and try to use in various sector
which can help us to know about these new
technologies(Government of Nepal Ministry of
Communication and Information Technology, 2019).
This is all about AR and it’s scenario about the AR in
Nepal, at present we can clearly see that there is no
proper use of AR technology in various field in Nepal
so this is one of the case which motivates me to
develop the system which will help our community
too. My application is based on the searching of
various colleges with the AR technology
implementation. It will save the time of users to visit
each college rather to use this app and get know all
those information of college through AR technology.
There are some existing apps and websites which are
working in this field like Educate Nepal, College
Nepal, etc all those app are working on the concept
of showing information of various college through
their platform but there are lots of constrain in their
application so to overcome all these issue I am
working in this sector by implementing new
technology call augmented reality.
Some of the Educational constraints in Nepal:
Lack of College Data and their information
Lack of Guidance in the platform which they
are using
Inefficient Technology to show various
facilities like banks , hostels around that
college in single platform
There are many companies which are working in this
field but their may be question why this platform need
to be there then? The main goal of Edu. Searching App
with AR technology is to give the feeling of AR
technology and its advantage. It will help students to
know about their dream college and its surrounding in
AR way.
Problem Statements:
In the recent context, we are getting lots of basic
application which are in this field but the features they
are providing are so insufficient for any students for
proper information. Communication gap between
students and colleges is one of the main problem so to
solve chat system will be implemented. Proper view of
college will never be possible through photo so for this
problem to resolve, we are going to use AR in the app.
Aim:
It will help the students for easy searching of
colleges according to their requirements
Objective:
To build the platform for student who are in
search of colleges.
To show infrastructure and facilities around
college through the technology called AR.
To integrate Augmented Reality in the mobile
application
To provide platform between student and college
administration for enquire through online
meetup.
Features:
User Management
Integration of AR feature for better
understanding of various colleges
Booking of appointment for the students
College Advertisement Feature
Meetup platform between students and dream
college
Added Values:
After the finishing of this project, the system will help
students to get their best colleges and their facilitates
without wasting their time to visit every college. This
system will provide real-time live view of their colleges
and various information around college like hostels,
banks etc. Students can also get chance to connect with
college administration for other enquires.
Challenges:
It is sure that there will be lots of challenges which we
will going to face. Some of the challenges like:
Integration of AR with flutter framework
Research Data of various students who are
searching colleges through online platforms
Provided information of colleges and their
facilities are valid or not
Integration of meetup platform is another
challenge.
What methodology Research Methodologies:
(structured process) will
There are two important research methodologies
you be following to
realise your artefact? which are discussed above i.e., Quantitative and
Qualitative research which will be going to used
during this project.
Quantitative research is the process of collecting
data and information from the targeted user using
the various methods like surveys, polls etc(Pritha
Bhandari, 2021).
For Quantitative Research, I am going to conduct
various surveys, polls, interviews from the students
who faced these problems, colleges who are
interested and their views, and other users who are
interested in our program. I had to collet research on
AR technology where people are interested in it or
not and their importance and usefulness in the app.
For Qualitative Research, Various use cases studies
will be shown to the experts of this field. I also need
to perform some case studies in the AR technology
which will become the first technology which is going
to used here.
These all research and analysis is done to understand
the current scenario of the market, how the targeted
users and to know how the people is going to react
on it.
Research Method:
Various Research method like surveys, polls etc are
going to be used for the research method.
Augmented Reality is so new for us so to
understanding the review from the various users is
good for these types of projects. Various case studies
and public polls are also the great way of the
research. Interviews with experts are also the great
research method regarding this project. As this
project is new in context of Nepal, according to the
article published in Venture, Agri-Augment is the
project where they are using AR to promote
Agriculture in Nepal. They are using interview and
one to one meet up with the respective people of
those field to aware them what can they achieve if
they will use their system. Their prototype are the
great method to show the non technical people
regarding the use of system which indirectly or
directly help for their research(Yangum Lama, 2019).
Development Methodology:
Agile methodology is the repetitive approach of
project management and software development
process in which teams will deliver the values to
their customer in each aspect during various sprint
until the completion of the project which help for
better development of the project(Andrew Stellman
& Jennifer Greene, 2017).
Agile Software Development Methodology will be
going to used for this application. Because we can
clearly see that our requirements may get changed
with time. The whole process will go through this
way:
Requirement analysis (Requirement of the
project will be listed and important one will
be done first)
Prototype and Use Case Designing (Using
tools like figma and Visual Paradigm)
Coding (using dart and flutter)
Testing
Deployment of the application
As mentioned above this is Agile methodology this cycle
will run one by one till the completion of the project.
Evaluation Plan:
This project needs to change from time to time so I feel
agile development methodology is one of the best
approaches for the development. Initially qualitative and
quantitative analysis will help me to get some data. By
this way it will help to produce my artifice as quickly as
possible.
Till now we had learned many things through our course
How does your project and I feel these all the course are so useful for the
relate to your degree
course and build upon completion of our project we had learned about various
the units/knowledge you technologies and languages like flutter, Java, python, C#
have studied/acquired etc these all platform will help us for improving our
coding skills.
Various management skills are also taught during all
these time which will be going to implement here.
Various app development cycle, development
methodologies like agile, water fall etc are also teaches
during this time which will help me to choose correct
method for my project.
Software engineering is also one of the best course
which teach us about real world problems and finding
solution using various technologies.
We had also learned about various designing method
and tools which we are going to use now.
Documentation and Report writing are another skill
which we learn during all these time.
Similarly we are also learning about various research
methods like qualitative research and quantitative
research.
