Fetal facial structures are grossly normal. Fetal spine, CVJ are normal. Fetal abdomen shows normal, stomach ,
urinary bladder, kidneys. Abdominal wall is intact with normal insertion of 3 vessels cord . Fetal heart show 4
chamber view. No cystic structures are seen in thoracic cavity . All four fetal limbs are visualized . Double bones
are seen in forearms and legs. Femoral lengths are normal . Hands /feet are normal grossly.

PLACENTA: Posterior wall of uterus. Maturity grade I .

LIQUOR: - Adequate .

ANOMALY SCAN:-

Report summary: Single live intrauterine pregnancy. No major congenital abnormality detected. Finding of
today’s scan explained to the prospective parts. They understand
limitation of the screening test especially in detecting cardiac abnormalities . Please note- fetal 2D
echocardiography is a different study.
Another ultrasound scan is recommended for fetal growth and placental localization at 32-34 weeks gestation
or earlier if clinically indicated.

Explained that:- Overall detection rate of major congenital anomalies with antenatal Ultrasound is about
70%(40-98%).
Some congenital Abnormalities are seen only in 3rd Trimester.
Antenatal Ultrasonography for structural abnormalities. It does not confirm or exclude chromosomal problems
in the foetus

IMPRESSION: 1. Single, live, active intrauterine fetus at changing lie of about

18 weeks 02 days (+/-1week) of gestation at present.
