a. Describe the performance of your device.


My device is a gaming phone and I thought it has great performance specially realme is one of the
famous brands in gaming phones here in Philippines. but the performance of my phone is not what
I’ve expect. Like, while I’m playing mobile legends when I click the high quality for graphics my phone
starts to lag and delay. Because of that I cannot play well. So, I have to settle in smooth. But the
battery of my device I can say that it is long enough to do what I want to do. It can last up to 2 days.

b. In your opinion, does the operating system affect the overall performance of your device? Why
or why not?
Yes, because my device became slow specially while playing because before I can say that it has good
quality for gaming but when the operating system starts to update that is also the start I encounter
all of the lag, delaying, and the FPS (frames per second). That why it really affects my device
performance.
c. Give five (5) installed applications that greatly affect the processing speed or performance of
your device.
The first one is Facebook because I can upload, post, and use messenger fast I did not encounter any
lagging. Then while watching in TikTok or YouTube I can watch until I fell as sleep. Lastly Wattpad I
can read all day and night without interruptions.
d. In your perspective, is there a possible relationship between the processor and the display
quality of your device? Rationalize your answer.
No, because processor handles the instructions for software apps. While in display it more on
graphics, quality of an image, higher resolutions.

e. Operating System, RAM, or Processor. Which among the three would you upgrade first and why?
Ram, because I think having RAM is also make the processing speed faster. Also, it increases memory
transfers information.

already included in the handout) and examine its architecture and specifications. Then, answer the

According to Mac OS, the MAC OS X is built on a Unix core; the Darwin core is based on the Berkeley
Software Distribution (BSD) version of Unix. The heart of the Darwin core is called Mach.
g. What makes the operating system unique? Rationalize your answer. (5 points)
Only apple users can use this operating system it is only exclusive for them. It is also more secured
that than another operating system. Apple have high quality performance in operating system.
