Math8 Final Demo

The document provides a detailed lesson plan on teaching theoretical and experimental probability in mathematics. It includes objectives to define and differentiate theoretical and experimental probability and apply them to real life situations. The lesson plan outlines activities where students work in groups to determine probabilities based on outcomes of a game and compare the results to theoretical probabilities. The goal is for students to understand the difference between experimental probabilities learned through activities and theoretical probabilities.

DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN

MATHEMATICS VIII
by: Mariel E. Bernal
I. Objectives:

Content Standard: The learner demonstrates understanding of the basic concept

of probability.

Performance Standard: The learner was able to use precisely counting

techniques and probability in solving problems related in
different fields of endeavor.

Learning Competencies:
a. define an experimental and a theoretical probability,
b. differentiate an experimental and a theoretical probability;
c. apply the use of experimental and theoretical probability on real life
situations.

II. Subject Matter:

 Topic: Theoretical vs. Experimental Probability

V. Assignment

Activity 17: LET’S CONVINCE THE COMMUNITY!

Situation:
The barangay officials of San Vicente want the community folks
especially the youth to be informed/educated about engaging in games of
chance (those found in the local carnival). They invited a game analyst to
convince the people in the community that they should be mindful of their
chances of losing and winning in these type of games so that they will not
end up wasting time and money. The games analyst needs to present and
disseminate this during the barangay monthly meeting. The presentation
should meet the following standards: use of mathematical concepts,
accuracy, organization, and deliver.

Activity:
Consider yourself as the game analyst invited by the barangay
officials to make an educational presentation on how to convince the
community folks of their chances in losing and winning in those games in the
local carnival. The presentation should meet the set standards.
