DMRC STAFF WELFARE TRUST RULES
1. TITLE AND COMMENCEMENT
These rules shall be called the DMRC Staff Welfare Trust Rules.
2. DEFINITION
In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires-
2.1 “Member” means regular and contract employee of the corporation including
absorbee’s, but does not include deputationist, re-employment personnel, consultants and
a person employed by the corporation on daily wages or apprentices paid under the
Apprenticeship Act, 1961.
2.2 ‘Family’ means a member’s spouse, children (son below the age of 25 years or till they get
married or employed; whichever is earlier, unmarried daughter but not employed and
dependant on the member (employee)) and widow mother/parents of the member (employee)
only, who is wholly dependent upon the member (employee) and does not have independent
income more than 15% of the basic pay of the member (employee) or the amount arrived by
adding minimum pension/family pension of Rs. 9000/- (excluding the element of additional
pension of old pensioners) and the dearness relief admissible to the pensioner/family
pensioner thereon, rounded off to the nearest ten-rupee figure, whichever is more.
2.3 ‘Fund” means fund financed from the monthly contribution from member and the equal
annual contribution by DMRC and from other sources as mentioned in para 5.
2.4 “Committee” means the committee constituted comprising members which shall be
nominated by Managing Director to manage the fund for various welfare activities for
DMRC members.
3. MANAGEMENT OF THE FUNDS
The Fund shall be administered by a Committee to be nominated by the Managing
Director periodically from amongst the following:
a) An officer at the HOD level or above to function as the ‘Chairman’.
b) An officer at the Dy. HOD level to function as the ‘Deputy Chairman’.
c) An officer at the Dy. HOD level to function as the ‘Member/Secretary’.
d) Two representatives of members to be nominated by the Managing Director, one from
amongst the Executives, working in grade Rs. 50000- 160000 IDA and up to Rs. 60000-
180000 IDA and the other from amongst the non-executive grade Rs. 50000- 160000
IDA and below.
e) Any other representative(s) to represent special interest of the members as may be
considered necessary by the Managing Director.
