Maintenance packages expired by more than 30 days do not qualify for renewal pricing.
DDR will provide, at the customer’s request, a recommendation on what service items are required and an amount of
additional training that would be of benefit. This determination is factored on machine running hours, service ticket
history and operator experience. From this recommendation the customer can decide on the number of days required to
perform the service. It is recommended that an adequate number of days be allotted so the technician’s schedule will be
booked accordingly. DDR cannot guarantee technician availability should the service extend past the scheduled number
of days.
Note: The Controls Technician Maintenance Checkup option does not include technician’s travel expenses†.
Shipping and handling costs of machine calibration equipment is not included, a quote can be provided on
request prior to shipping for these costs.
VersaFab Studio Offline licences are available as additional copies of the PythonX machine operating software for office use.
This software is primarily used by detailers and office staff to verify part files in the office prior to processing on the
machine. Upgrades to VersaFab Offline are released in conjunction with machine software upgrades to keep both online and
offline software identical.

Travel Expenses

A daily travel expense charge applies for onsite service where an overnight stay is required. Partial days
where an overnight stay is not incurred are chargeable at ½ the daily rate. This charge includes standard
travel expenses such as meal allowance, accommodation, vehicle rental, parking, tolls, etc. This charge
does not include airfare.
Airfare charged at cost
Airfare is additional to the daily travel expense charge and is invoiced at cost.
Data Driven Robotics technical support does not include the following:
a) Repair of customer generated CNC files. Technician will advise of file issues and non-conformity to relevant standards but not
make alterations to the customer’s file.
b) Machine alignments due to customer mechanical alterations and/or damage caused by improper machine use or human error.
c) Training for additional personnel. It is the responsibility of the customer to provide adequate training and/or instructional
guidance for new operators to a level of competency required to operate the PythonX. DDR offers additional training if so
required at standard rates and/or as an option to a support package.
d) CAD, detailing and design software packages not provided by Data Driven Robotics. CNC file issues originating from third
party software packages are to be addressed by the relevant software providers.

During a valid support package period, if Data Driven Robotics deems an issue severity and/or complexity does not merit onsite support but a visit is
approved by the customer, technician’s time will be charged at the appropriate rate.
Currency is in Canadian Dollars.
Data Driven Robotics reserves the right to modify or change its support policies at its discretion.
Data Driven Robotics’ standard shipping company is FedEx, standard level of service is ‘FedEx Ground’. If an
alternate shipping company and/or service preference is required, this must be indicated with the order. Sufficient
details on shipping company and level of service must be provided to expedite the order.
Customers may provide DDR with a default shipping company and level of service to use on orders without specific
shipping instructions. The customer must provide DDR with required details and instructions pertaining to their
default shipping method in writing. DDR cannot guarantee pickup and delivery times with customer specified
shipping methods.
Orders received without specific shipping instructions and where customer default shipping instructions have not
been provided will be shipped ‘FedEx Ground’. Orders must be submitted and acknowledged before 16:30 (GMT -
5:00). ‘FedEx Ground’ shipments are picked up from the DDR office the following day.
Customer part orders must be in writing and include a purchase order number.
Rush orders received, that satisfy all the above criteria, with a level of service above ‘FedEx Ground’ or equivalent,
before 14:30 (GMT -5:00) will be packed and picked up from our office the same day. Rush orders received after
14:30 (GMT -5:00) and prior to 16:30 (GMT -5:00) are subject to an ‘Emergency Shipment Handling
Charge’. Customer must provide DDR with consent for this charge in writing.
No shipments can be made from the DDR office after 16:30 (GMT -5:00).
