Activity-4 (Increasing and Decreasing Functions)

1) The document explains how to determine if a function is increasing or decreasing by drawing tangents to curves representing the functions and observing the angles and slopes of the tangents. 2) If the slopes of the tangents are negative, then the function is decreasing at those points, and if positive, then the function is increasing. 3) By analyzing sample curves, one curve was determined to represent a decreasing function and the other an increasing function based on the signs of the tangent slopes.
