Exercise 3.4 Quarterly Profits Instructions:


1. Open the Spreadsheet “Starter File” File Quarterly Profit from Unit 3.4
2. Insert your name and surname, file name and date as a footer.
3. Merge and Centre the two main headings and Apply Font Bold
4. Adapt the column widths where necessary.
5. Insert borders.
6. Right align the column headings.
7. In Cell F7, Insert Today’s Date by Using the “Todays Date” Formula
8. Calculate the TOTAL FIGURES in column F.
9. In the Total Column Cell F11 to F19, Use Conditional formatting to Highlight the Values/Totals Less (<) Than
R20000.00. Apply Green Fill with Dark Green Text
10. Bold the headings TOTAL EXPENSES, NET PROFIT, HIGHEST AND LOWEST EXPENSES AND AVERAGE
11. Change orientation to Landscape.
12. Change the Values to Rand Currency (English-South Africa), with 2 Decimal Places.
13. Calculate the following:
12.1 THE TOTAL EXPENSES FOR EACH QUARTER
12.2 HIGHEST EXPENSE FOR EACH QUARTER
12.3 THE AVERAGE OF EXPENSES FOR EACH QUARTER
12.4 THE LOWEST EXPENSE FOR EACH QUARTER
12.5 THE NET PROFIT FOR EACH QUARTER
13. Freeze the First Top Row only.
14. Save the file as Excel Test 04 Surname Initial.
