Scout was patrolling in scout car area 803 in a fully marked scout car and in full uniform traveling southbound on
Westmoreland approaching W. 7 Mile Rd. P.O Perry asked me to stop the car due to a male walking who had a heavy
right pocket. I stopped the scout car and observed the pocket mentioned that showed a L shape consistent with a
handgun. P.O Perry asked the individual if he had a CPL in which the Offender grabbed the right pocket which show
a full imprint of a firearm.

The offender later identified as began to flee heading northbound up Westmoreland. I immediately
exited the scout car and gave pursuit. While in pursuit the offender took the firearm out his right pocket and continue
to run in direction mentioned.

I un-holstered my firearm holding it at a low ready while running giving verbal commands to drop the gun or I`ll
shoot. The offender continued to flee running up the driveway of 19195 Westmoreland in which I observe him throw
the firearm over a privacy fence that`s when I holstered my firearm. The offender continue to flee in which he back
tracked up the drive way heading northbound up Westmoreland. The offender fell on the side of 19203
Westmoreland where I un-holstered my Taser and gave verbal commands telling the offender to get down and place
his hands behind his back in which he complied.

While detaining the offender my partner P.O Perry was trapped behind the fence of 19203 Westmoreland where he
was being attacked by a dog. P.O Perry manage to get through the door of the fence but the dog had a hold of his left
foot. P.O Perry was screaming for help in which I un-holstered my firearm aimed in and fired two shots killing the
dog. P.O Perry foot was released. P.O Perry sustained a bite injury on his left foot. Dispatched was notified in which
Medic made the scene along with supervision 8-78 and 8-76.

I began to retrace the route of travel of the offender in which I recovered a Silver and Black Smith Wesson SD40VE
loaded with a magazine filled with numerous live rounds in the back of 19204 Plainview. No round was in the
chamber.

The offender did not possess a CPL per LEIN and was subsequently arrest for CCW. Offender was transported to
DDC without incident. P.O Perry was transported to the by Medic
