Lesson Plan CO3
Lesson Plan CO3
Content Standards:
The learners demonstrate an understanding of how heat is transferred.
Performance Standards:
The learners shall be able to conduct a forum on mitigation and disaster risk reduction.
Learning Competency:
Infer the conditions necessary for heat transfer to occur; S7LT-IIIh-i-12
Objective:
1. Identify the methods of heat transfer.
2. Appreciate the importance of heat transfer.
III. PROCEDURE
A. PREPARATION STAGE (5 minutes)
Prayer
Greetings
Classroom Orderliness (Arranging of Chairs, Picking of garbage, etc.)
Checking of Attendance
Setting of Classroom Rules
Be on time.
Raise your hand if you have a question.
Listen to your teacher/classmate talking in front.
Wait for your turn. Raise your hand and wait to be acknowledged.
Keep your space tidy. Only the things required for class should be on the desk.
(Values Integration)
(The teacher will allow the learners to make some revisions or add some rules.)
Reward will be given to the groups who will obey the classroom rules (Applying
positive discipline)
Review
Arrange the colors of light from highest frequency to lowest frequency;
longest wavelength to shortest wavelength. What is the relationship of frequency and
wavelength?
The teacher will give a recitation slip to the group or student who will actively
participate in every activity and claim their reward after the class.
Activity 1: Unlocking of Difficulties The students will use their knowledge in addition and
subtraction. (Math Integration) Combining the letters when the sign is (+) and omitting the letters
when the sign is (-). They will name the mystery word based on the visual and word clues
presented. Let the students spell the words correctly and read it aloud. (Literacy Integration)

Activity 2: The teacher will present a story about GRADE 7 - CAPRICORN and
SAGITTARIUS CAMPING DAY 2022. (English Integration) The teacher will let the students read
the story. (Literacy Integration)
Guide Questions:
1. What was the task of the campers?
2. How is heat used in the story?
3. After a few minutes of exposure to fire, what happened to the casserole and the water
inside it?
4. As mentioned in the story, as the night approached the campers felt cold. How did they
solve this problem?
5. Based on the story presented, what took place when the campers cooked their food and
came closer when they felt cold?
Activity 3: Each group will do the activity and they will be given 5 minutes to answer and 2
minutes for group presentation. They will choose a leader, secretary, time keeper and
rapporteur. Each group will be provided with handouts about heat transfer for them to read and
be guided. (Literacy Integration)
Camp 1: Watch video experiment about Conduction and answer the questions given.
Camp 2: Watch video experiment about Convection and answer the questions given.
Camp 3: Watch video experiment about Radiation and answer the questions given.
Camp 4: Identify the method of heat transfer described in each situation given.
Camp 5: Draw a scenario of each method of heat transfer and label what method of transfer it
is.
(Arts Integration)
Activity 5: The students will click a door in the slide decks that they are going to visit and they
will observe and identify what heat transfer occurs on the scenario. (ICT Integration)
Guide Questions:
G. EVALUATE (5 minutes)
1. Which of the following processes of heat transfer requires the presence of a fluid?
A. Conduction B. Convection C. Dispersion D. Radiation
3. What mode of heat transfer takes place due to the vibrating and colliding particle of objects
that are in direct contact?
A. Conduction B. Convection C. Heat D. Radiation
G. EXTEND (2 minutes)
Each group will create a song about the methods of heat transfer. The lyrics should be in
English with 2 stanzas with 1 chorus. (Music Integration)
See attached activity sheet with rubrics.
