ENVIRONMENT
I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content The learners should be able to demonstrate the understanding of how
Standards information stored in DNA is being used to make proteins.
B. Performance
Standards
C. Learning Explain how protein is made using information from DNA (S10lt-Iiid-37)
Competencies
/ The Learners should be able to:
Objectives

Part 2
Multiple Choice
1. What are the four nitrogenous bases for DNA?
a. Uracil, Thymine, Adenine, and Guanine
b. Cytosine, Thymine, Adenine, and Guanine
c. Thymine, Adenine, Lytosine, and Guanine
d. Thymine, Uracil, Lytosine, and Guanine
2. Given the base sequence strand, write the base sequence of the
complimentary DNA strand. (ATGCCT)
a. TACGGA
b. TANGGA
c. UACGGU
d. TUCGGA
a. Leading Strand
b. Fragmenting strand
c. Okazaki Fragment
d. Orochimaru Fragments
a. Histone
b. Helicase
c. Exonuclease
d. Nucleus
Order Steps
2 Single Strand Binding Proteins attach to the halves and keeps
the DNA strands separated.
5 DNA Polymerase III adds the nucleotides.
1 At the origin of replication, Helicase unwinds the hydrogen
bonds and separates DNA in half.
6 DNA Polymerase I replace primer.
3 Leading and Lagging strands are formed.
4 RNA Primase adds the primer to both strands.
7 DNA Ligase stitches the gaps in lagging strand.
8 Termination: 2 DNA molecules are produced.
