users) and

management (maintenance; performance) and the interrelation

between them; without being vulgar and monstrous. The
building may be one storey on ground level or stilted with
ramp walkways. Continuous in the plan or clustered

Design Concept
Bahay Kubo
The Bahay Kubo was the
standard structure used
for home in the
Philipines before
colonial period. It is
the perfect manifestation
of the Filipinos’ values
and culture, some of it are the love for humanity specially
their family, it ties every Filipino despite any turmoil. It
also depicts the most nurtured Filipino value of called
‘bayanihan,’ which attributes to a spirit of collective
unity to accomplish an objective.
Design Innovation
Digital Fabricated Bamboo
Digital fabricated bamboo pavilion explore the innovative
combination of bio material with digital fabrication. Bamboo
is a rapidly renewable and high quality raw material. It is
comparable to hardwood species, but it is very lightweight
and bendable. It is also an excellent sustainable building
material because of it’s rapid growth and very low weight to
strength ratio.Bamboo is also provides a low-carbon
altenative to materials including timber, cement and steel.
