The ECCN’s provided in Release Notes represent Landmark Graphics' opinion of the
correct classification for the product today (based on the original software and/or original
hardware). Classifications are subject to change. If you have any questions or need
assistance please contact us at [email protected]
Under the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the U.S. Government assigns
your organization or client, as exporter/importer of record, responsibility for determining
the correct authorization for the item at the time of export/import. Restrictions may apply
to shipments based on the products, the customer, or the country of destination, and an
export license may be required by the Department of Commerce prior to shipment. The
U.S. Bureau of Industry and Security provides a website to assist you with determining the
need for a license and with information regarding where to obtain help.
Definitions
ECCN (Export Control Classification Number) -The ECCN is an alpha-numeric code, e.g.,
3A001, that describes a particular item or type of item, and shows the controls placed on
that item. The CCL (Commerce Control List) is divided into ten broad categories, and each
category is further subdivided into five product groups. The CCL is available on the EAR
Website.
The ECCN Number, License Type, and the CCATS Numbers for this product are included
in the table below. Also included is the date the table was last updated.
Licensing
For more information about licensing, please refer to the DecisionSpace 5000.0.1
Installation Guide or the LAM Guide for the 5000.0.0 release.
Users must have a license for the OpenWorks® 5000.0.0 software in order to run the
entire feature set, although there is a supported non-OpenWorks mode. If you do not have
an OpenWorks license, you will be limited to working with WBP files.
Customers whose original migration path was from the original 3D Drill View™ viewer will
have the DRILLVIEW_WP feature with AssetView™ software. This enables the
TracPlanner™ software functionality.
For new AssetView software customers, the Collaborative Well Planning software is not
included with an AssetView license. Collaborative Well Planning functionality is licensed
separately.
When the Collaborative Well Planning software is launched from the AssetView software,
a check for licensed Collaborative Well Planning modules is performed. This check
includes a search for all five Collaborative Well Planning module licenses. The
Collaborative Well Planning software may take a considerable amount of time to launch if
the individual module licenses (TRACPLANNER, ASSETPLANNER,
PRECISIONTARGET, SCENARIOPLANNER, and NETWORKPLANNER) are located on
networked license servers. In particular this may be an issue when only one or two of the
modules are licensed.
To avoid searching for licenses to modules you do not have, use the
LGC_LICENSE_REJECT environment variable to specify the license feature(s) that the
Collaborative Well Planning software should ignore when launching. For more information
about this environment variable, refer to the DecisionSpace 5000.0.1 Installation Guide.
If you want to use the EDM Import, or EDM Export options in the Collaborative Well
Planning software, and you are using Landmark’s Engineer’s Desktop™ 2003.16, or
2003.16.1 then you must run two scripts on your EDM Oracle database.
Notes:
• EDM Import and EDM Export will only work with Landmark’s Engineer’s Desktop
version 2003.16.0 and later.
• If you are running Landmark’ Engineer’s Desktop version 2003.21, you do not need
to run these executables.
• Each update .exe in the following steps will allow you to save a log file. Save the
log file and then review it for errors. Both scripts can be run multiple times, but you
may see errors when running EDMOC_C11_ORA_Struct_Update.exe more than
once if the tables were successfully altered during the previous run.
• The update executables require the following two files to be present on your
machine. These are installed during the Landmark Engineer’s Desktop installation
process. If EDT was not installed on your machine, an error will occur when
executing the updates.
richtx32.ocx
Mscomct2.ocx
1. Locate the dbupdates folder. If you installed using the default folder, this will be
\Landmark\DecisionSpace5000.0.0\modules\dspedm\dbupdates.
Note: This will apply structural updates to the EDMDevKit metadata tables. You need to login
as the schema owner (edmadmin in most cases) and have rights to create and alter tables, create
views, create synonyms, grant rights. The .exe allows you to apply the updates automatically
or manually. To run automatically, press the run automatic button. To run manually, select the
run manually button and specify the directory where you want the scripts to be placed. Then
change to that directory and set the runscript.txt file for further instruction.
You should be prompted with a question asking if you want to upgrade from a 06.00.00.33
version to XXXXXXX. Respond ‘Yes’.
Access the Collaborative Well Planning software from the AssetView software in one of two
ways:
• Select Applications > Well Planning > Well Planning from the main menu.
Windows 64-Bit
Site slot templates setups can now be saved. The site setup that is saved can include multiple
templates, and/or individual slots. After the setup is saved, it can be used as a basis for other
sites.
Using the AssetPlanner™ software, it is now possible to use surface grids. For example, a sea
floor grid can be used to obtain water depths for the platforms. Using the water depth from the
grid, the AssetPlanner software can also restrict platforms to a specified range of water depths.
Topography grids can also be used for platform elevations in land-based projects. An example
where this would be useful would be using a topography grid to place platforms or wells only
where the surface is less than a certain inclination or within a certain range of elevations.
Nudge
This new feature in the Plans menu allows you to make slight modifications to the trajectory of
a Surface or Platform Well. This feature is used to space platform wells above their intended
kickoff depths to avoid pre-kickoff separation issues.
Users who have the AssetPlanner software licensed can automatically orient platform slot
templates based upon surface topography, plan optimization, or a defined orientation angle.
This functionality resides within the Slot Template editor.
Users who have the AssetPlanner software licensed can take advantage of a new feature to
automatically vary kickoff depths and (if desired) modify plans to maintain proper separation
in the upper part of wells. This functionality resides within the Slot Template editor.
Checkboxes have been added to the Project Tree at the Project and Target level, and their usage
has been made more consistent. This makes it much easier to turn an entire project off, and then
turn back on the platforms, plans or targets that you currently wish to view, use, or save.
Ground Level
To improve integration with the Compass™ software, the TracPlanner™ and AssetPlanner
software now support a Ground Level Parameter for Platform Locations and Surface Wells.
This is a user editable field that can impact error ellipse calculations and minimum kickoff
depths.
Fixed Problems
714923 When saving slot templates to an OpenWorks well planning project, there is
a limitation of 250 characters for all the template parameters combined. It is
best to keep slot template names to 5 characters or less. In some cases there
may be loss of the y spacing parameter or precision when this character
limitation is exceeded.
749048 If the server or database name is spelled incorrectly on the EDM Import/
Export login dialog, DecisionSpace must be shut down, and restarted to
access the login screen again.
753187 When importing data from a csv file that contains blank columns or cells, the
data may not be imported correctly. Workaround: Before creating the csv file,
remove columns without data, or put data in each cell of the column.
749787 When you save a project to Openworks for the first time (the name has not
already been established), and you answer “Yes” to the Save warning that
appears, the project is saved as “New Project”. This default name will be used
and you will not get an opportunity to specify a name. Workaround: When the
Save warning appears, choose the “Cancel” option, and then use “Save As”
to specify the name you want to use.
779807 Improved target coverage when using automated targeting and planning.
780028 Auto Targeting fails with a 3D Grid that is only one cell wide in either the I or
J dimensions
780045 When exiting DecisionSpace while using Well Planning (and Well Planning
data is displayed in the AssetView viewer) a message is displayed asking if
you want to save the session. If Cancel is selected, all Well Planning data will
be removed from the AssetView viewer. Workaround: Re-open the project.
781667 Acceptable risk for hitting outside border % is not retained when project is
saved to OpenWorks or WBP file.
783829 Surface grid is not used when picking targets.
785760 Collaborative Well Planning should converge on requested hold angle.
785864 Plan extension parameter increased from 2,000 to 50,000.
Known Problems
The following list contains issues identified during the development and testing of the
Collaborative Well Planning software, but have not yet been resolved. These items, have
been assigned a tracking ID number. Their status is “Open” and will be further evaluated
(and possibly corrected) in a future release.
618823 After loading OW Wells, you must click New Project twice before the tree is
expanded.
619315 There is a time delay when dragging multiple targets in the 2D view.
620033 Resizing the Type column in the selected plan types section does not keep
the changes.
624155 The Uncertainty calculations checkbox (Project Properties) is not getting
saved with the project.
624156 Target and Plan Properties are not saved with the session.
700582 The Driller’s Target is not generated when two markers are used.
703331 Target and Plan Parameters column management not saving changes.
714334 Load Well Planning before you display Sections in AssetView that include
Well Plans. Never display Sections in AssetView that include Well Plans in
different OpenWorks projects than the current session project.
714415 If a seismic volume is open in AssetView, the decimation values will be
displayed on the Targeting tab in AssetPlanner. If you change the decimation
values using AssetView, you must reselect the volume on the Targeting tab
to update the decimation values.
714486 When you save a project in TracPlanner using Save As (or rename and save),
it saves the project information that you started with, along with any changes
that you made to the new project name. However, it only saves information for
modules you have been in since you opened the project. So, if, for example,
you started with a project that had PrecisionTarget information, but did not go
into PrecisionTarget before doing a SaveAs, your new project wouldn’t have
any PrecisionTarget information. Of course, your original still would, but not
the newly saved project. The same holds true for AssetPlanner and
NetworkPlanner.
732486 When using the Target and Plan Parameters dialogs, the Save as Default
option on Column Management does not save the settings.
733531 The Cancel button on the Well Plan Properties Casing and Visualization tabs
does not function as expected. If data is entered on these tabs, and then the
Cancel button is pressed, this data will still be in displayed on the tab the next
time the tab is accessed.
734610 When a SetBack TVD is applied to a plan, the Redo button may not function
as expected.
735460 If a target is added to a well plan that makes the plan unable to be calculated,
the plan data will not be displayed in the spreadsheet. If the plan is displayed
in a view (i.e. Plan View) before the target was created, the plan will disappear
from the view after the target is added to the plan.
736094 When OpenWorks wells are loaded, a + will be displayed in the tree even
when there are no associated data items for that well.
736450 When using the Field Scenario Planner module, sites with existing platforms
should not be optimized.
