1 System requirements

1.1 System configuration

 Hardware requirement
CPU Intel® P4 above, 512MB memory, screen resolution of 1024 by 768 pixels recommended,
screen width not less than 1024 pixels, screen height not less than 768 pixels, 30 GB hardware.

 Software requirement
Microsoft® Windows XP Professional SP2 (Simplified Chinese, English) [recommended]
Microsoft® Windows2000 Professional SP4 (Simplified Chinese, English)
Software of Internet Explorer 6.0 version or above should be installed to display the help
information normally.

1.2 Display settings

The display attribute of the operation system shall be not less than”1024 by 768 pixels” and lower
size (Windows2000 Professional) or normal size (Windows XP).
2 Software installation & setup

2.1 DMS(Data Management Software) installation

 Set up the system needs to log in as administrator.

1. Put the CD into computer CD-ROM, and run Setup.exe program on the disk. Please
click the right item as below:

2. According to different operation systems and different user configurations, it will pop up
end user license agreement including one or several operation system components.
3. Click "Install" to set up operation system components.
4. After setup finished, the following setup guide will appear.

5. Click “Next>“ button, the following interface will appear.


6. Click “Browse" button to select the folder to save the program, and then click
“Next>“button.

7. Click ”Next>“ button to begin setup.


8. After the setup is finished, a dialog box will pop up to ask for confirmation. Click "close”
to finish the setup.
9. After setup finished, the software will check the configuration of the operation system. If
the configuration fails to match running demand of the management software, it will
continue to set up patch pack program.

10. The patch pack program begins to run.

11. Please select” I’ve read and accepted items in agreement. Click “install” button.

12. The setup of patch pack program begins.


13. After setup is finished, restarting the computer maybe needed depending on your
operation system. The whole setup process finished after restarting.

 Use Windows Update to check whether there is important .NET Framework


updating after setup finished.

2.2 DMS setup

1. Double click the icon (on desktop after installation) to start the Data Communication
Module of Mindray DMS.

Please note there is another item. Do not click this at the beginning.
2. Select the menu “System>Communication Instrument Management”, then click “New”, fill in
the blank as follows.

3. Click “Ok” to finish the setup.


3 Cable connection & Analyzer setup
3.1 Cable connection
Use the serial port cable enclosed in DMS software package to connect the PC and BC-3000plus.
The COM 2 of the analyzer is for connecting PC.

 Turn off the analyzer before connecting the machine with PC in case of any
damage

3.2 Analyzer setup


Turn on the analyzer, when finish startup, select “Menu>Setup>Settings”, press F1 to select
“print & comm” group.

Do the setup as follows (as shown in the picture above)

Baud=”9600”
Parity=”None”

Auto=”On” “yes”

Then save the change and exit.


4 How to use DMS
4.1 Startup the Mindray DMS

Double click the icon to start the Mindray DMS and log on.
User name: 000
Password: 000 (User can be added and Password be changed after log on)

4.2 Transmit results from analyzer database


Select the “Menu>review”, then press “↓” to review the results in table manner. Press “F3” to
choose “selected/all” results to transmit

(Here for instance transmit the No. 2 result)


Then we get results in DMS.

4.3 Transmit real-time test result


Do sample tests at the “count” screen as usual, and the result will transmit to the DMS of PC
automatically as soon as the sample test finishes.
