course of the school day, parents will be allowed to drive into school to pick up
their child at the general office.

We would like to remind parents whose children are taking the school buses
that on days when your child is not taking the school bus home at the standard
dismissal time, please inform the bus driver to avoid holding up the bus.
b. Road Safety
We would like to encourage all parents to inculcate good road safety habits, such
always using pedestrian crossings, not being distracted by mobile devices while
walking and practising the kerb drill before crossing.
We would also like to seek the support of parents to drive slowly and vigilantly in the
school zone especially when there is high traffic volume (e.g. mornings). Traffic
marshals are stationed to ensure safety and smooth traffic flow.

c. Safe and Conducive Environment

We would like to thank all parents for your support and will continue to ensure that
our school remains a safe and conducive environment for everyone through the
following measures:

- Regular cleaning of high-touch surfaces and disinfection of premises daily

- Frequent hand-washing throughout the school day and the wipe-down of
tables after use
- Meeting with teachers or school staff is strictly by appointment only

d. Unwell Student / Household Members (6 Years and Above)

If your child is feeling unwell (e.g., sore throat, fever, cough and/or loss of
smell), he/she should see a doctor and not come to school. We encourage
students to do a quick test (Antigen Rapid Test or ART) when there is possible
exposure or suspicion of possible infection. Close monitoring of one’s health
and pre-emptive self-testing will be crucial in ensuring a safe environment for
teaching and learning.

5. Update of Student and Parent Particulars

With effect from Jan 2023, parents/legal guardians will be able to update their own
particulars and their child’s/ward’s information by logging in to the Student Details
Form (SDF) via Singpass.
Alternatively, parents/legal guardians can still notify the school if there are changes
in the following details:
i. Contact information (including addresses, contact numbers and contact
details of parents/legal guardian/caregiver)
ii. Commuter Status
iii. Health Declaration

6. Student Attendance
All students are to report to school before 7.30 a.m. to participate in the flag raising
ceremony. Please ensure that your child reports to school on time every morning.
Any absence from school must be accompanied by a medical certificate (MC) or
letter from parents. Please refrain from taking your child for family vacation during
school term as we would like to honour the protected curriculum time for the year.
For parents who are sending your child to school, we seek your understanding not to
arrive at school before 7.00 a.m. as our staff will only be on duty from 7.00 a.m.

7. Student Development Team (SDT)

The SDT looks into the holistic development of the students. The team sets to
provide a conducive learning environment for students where they have
opportunities to engage in quality learning experience and acquire values supportive
of their lifelong well-being.

The Year Heads (YH) & Assistant Year Heads (AYH) will be connecting with
you each term to keep you updated of key matters pertaining to the respective
levels.

8. Mode of Communication

We have put in place various communication channels to connect with all parents:

a. Parents Gateway
Parents Gateway will serve as the main communication channel with parents.
We will be uploading school termly letters into the portal. It is important that parents
install the PG app in their smart mobile phones and familiarise themselves with the
app, especially for new parents who just joined the school. It is available for
download at both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

b. Other Communication Channels

Apart from getting information from school circulars, school website, teacher’s email
and the use of the Student Handbook, parents can also participate in the Class Dojo.
Your child’s Form Teacher will be getting in touch with you at the start of the year.

Please note that our teachers can be contacted during weekdays from 7.30 a.m. to
5 p.m. For urgent matters, you may leave a message with the General Office (Tel:
6777 5458). We seek your understanding that teachers may be uncontactable during
the day. They will respond to you as soon as they are available.

9. Developing Responsible Students

All parents are encouraged to ensure that your child packs his/her school bag every
day. Please make sure that your child remembers to bring what is needed for school
the next day. We would like to seek the understanding of all parents to refrain from
sending items and homework your child had forgotten to school. In the event that
your child forgets, it is a good opportunity to teach him/her how to problem solve and
manage the consequences. Let us work together to teach our students to be
responsible and self-disciplined.
10. Photography and Videography
We would like to inform you that throughout the course of the year,
photograph(s) or video image(s) of you and your child may be captured at all
school events. We may use and publish such photographs and/or video
recordings in school publications, website, social media channels, and other
official school communication channels. For clarifications, please feel free to
contact the school.
