location of each package at all times.

SECTION 4: BUSINESS PLAN PROPER

I. The Problem/Need
A.) Description of the Exact Problem

In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, the enforcement of physical distancing and

confinement measures has pushed many activities previously undertaken offline to the online
realm. This includes shifting from in-person shopping to ordering goods online leading to a
remarkable increase in e-commerce orders during the first two quarters of 2020. After two years
with the pandemic, the e-commerce industry has shown steady growth. Retailers and business
owners who would otherwise sell exclusively in-store had to switch to online selling platforms
and the need for reliable delivery service has increased.

B.) Reasons/Rationale why the problem must be addressed by the business.

We are expecting that the E-commerce industry will continue to grow in value at nearly
twice the rate of domestic e-commerce. In addition, people and businesses will continuously
need the help of the courier services to fulfill their daily needs and operations. By using a
reliable purveyor of delivery service, they will have the items they need or deliver their products
to their customers without delays, and without encountering any other unwanted outcomes.
C.) Description on how business has solved the problem need

In line with the increasing demand for reliable delivery services, We decided to meet this
demand by investing in a small courier company to provide delivery services to
microenterprises. Marites Express is a courier company that will transport packages within the
NCR. With a starting fleet of 20 riders, we can meet the delivery needs of small businesses,
such as online sellers, retailers and traders. Through advanced technology, all transactions will
be monitored to make sure that there are no delays or damages on the packages that are being
transported. Every delivery will be handled with the highest form of professionalism by a well-
trained crew that strives to provide the best service and experience to every customer. We pride
ourselves on the integrity and competence of our company and our employees.

C.) Market Size and Trends

Market Trends
The proponents of the business has seen a positive growth in the delivery service
industry, this is because many people now prefers to shop online and buy products
through their smartphones. Customer are also willing to pay this extra charge because it
is more convenient to have the goods delivered at their doorstep. Another trend for
delivery service is the trend of timed delivery. Customers no longer have to wait for a
long time to receive their goods because now they can receive it within 24 hours.
However, regardless of what mode the customer chooses, all they want is that their
goods are delivered at the right time and in the right conditions.

The reason for the spike in delivery service industry is the internet. The internet is now
being used towards ensuring that innovative entrepreneurs can reach out to their
