The document discusses two views on how to reduce traffic accidents: 1) Some believe strict punishments for traffic offenses are key, as fines deter unsafe driving and force compliance with traffic laws. 2) Others argue other measures may be more effective, such as educating the public on safety from a young age and improving road infrastructure through dedicated lanes, larger highways, and public transportation. The author's opinion is that while punishment can be effective, combining it with other techniques like education and infrastructure investment will best solve the problem of traffic accidents.

Some people believe the government should spend money building train and
subway lines to reduce traffic congestion. Others, however, think that building
more and wider roads is a better way to reduce traffic congestion. Discuss both
views and give your opinion.

The transport industry has been dealing with traffic congestion in recent years,
prompting some to believe that train and subway lines should be built to alleviate
traffic congestion, while others believe that developing more and larger roadways
is a better strategy for reducing traffic congestion. In my opinion, executing the
two plans above will yield the most optimum results.

On the one hand, there are several reasons why some individuals feel that the
government investing money in developing rail and subway lines is a viable
solution to traffic congestion. First of all, trains and subways have a large capacity,
which is expected to reduce the number of private automobiles on the road since
many passengers and commuters may use the metro to stabilize their daily travel.
The fact that standard capacity lines allow for 1,200 people each train, for a total of
36,000 passengers every hour, suggests that utilizing these transits may provide
spectacular results. Second, building subterranean stations allows subways to go
faster, offers people comfort and convenience, and significantly decreases traffic
congestion during rush hour. Since the metro's speed causes individuals to prefer it
rather than a car, especially those who commute to work since they have to drive a
great distance and be sure to be on time, this may reduce time strain and physical
discomfort.

On the other hand, the extension and construction of roads can alleviate the volume
of traffic for many reasons. To begin with, wider roads provide more space for
many modern means of transport, which allows a higher number of vehicles on the
road and partly contributes to reducing traffic accidents. As a result, people will be
able to take an alternate route to avoid crowds when traffic congestion develops if
road networks are improved. Besides, it is faster and more economical to build
roads than trains and subway lines, which means road construction is more likely
to meet people's daily transit needs rapidly. In fact, completing roads does not
require a lot of time or experience because it exerts a basic method rather than a
sophisticated one like building subway lines, this is why traffic congestion can be
solved more quickly.
In conclusion, both building train and subway lines and widening roads will help
alleviate traffic congestion and improve road safety, and it may be better if the two
plans are implemented simultaneously.

Some people think that strict punishments for driving offences are the key to
reducing traffic accidents. Others, however, believe that other measures would be
more effective in improving road safety. Discuss both these views and give your
own opinion.

Some argue that driving infractions should be harshly punished in terms of

improving traffic safety, while others believe that a variety of approaches are more
effective. For my part, even as I concur that punishment can be an efficient method
to reduce accidents, I also believe that it can be used in combination with other
techniques to solve the problem.

On the one hand, there are several major reasons why drivers' offenses should be
rigorously punished. To begin with, since people tend to not voluntarily follow the
standards and policies, it is critical for the government to build a legal framework
that forces people to obey so that they can know what is required of them. For
example, if a person repeatedly blows a red light without getting fined, it is
possible that this will become the usual, driving people to be more irresponsible on
the road. Second, because it is fair in a society, each mistake must be bidden,
which implies that a driving offense should be compelled to pay for its damage. As
a result, various fine levels are formed based on the severity of the driving
infractions, which always reminds individuals to be cautious in order to minimize
traffic accidents.

On the other hand, there are numerous alternatives to harsh fines for improving
road safety, such as reconstructing road systems and raising people's awareness of
the importance of self-protection on the road. First, people’s high awareness of
road safety is likely to be enhanced by being educated since they were small. As a
result, children are now taught some basic regulations for their daily travel, and
occasionally a traffic competition is organized so that they may seize and practice
properly. Furthermore, there are other ways to improve the quality of the traffic
system, such as constructing dedicated lanes, enlarging highways, or establishing a
mass transit system. For instance, applying public means of transportation and
expanding roads will help alleviate traffic congestion and improve road safety
because they provide more space for many modern means of transport.
In conclusion, strictly legitimizing and increasing people's awareness is a critical
combination that will undoubtedly produce the best results because this is a
relationship between inner and outside influence.
