In this regard, the following guidelines may be noted and necessary directions may be issued to the Principals concerned to take immediate necessary action at their end. 1. Admission in Balvatika Classes :- * Fresh Admission to these Balvatika classes shall be done as per the priority and reservations given in the revised KVS Admission Guidelines 2022 ~ 23 as per the following age groups: Class ‘Age (as on 31+ March 2022) Balvatika__[ Attained 3 years but not completed 4 years Balvatika Il_| Attained 4 years but not completed 5 years Balvatika Ill | Attained 5 years but not completed 6 years * Reservation under the Provisions of RTE Act - 2009 shail be applicable at the entry level only, viz., Balvatika I. * Provision for admission for Single Girl Child category shalll net be applicable to. these classes. * Local advertisement shall be issued by the respective KVs and each of them would ensure wide publicity in their locality. IL. Engagement of Teachers & Caregivers - Following modalities shall be followed for the engagement of teachers and caregivers for Balvatika classes: * A total of 06 ECCE trained Balvatika Teachers shall be engaged on contractual basis by each of the KVs (at the rate of two teachers for each of the Balvatika classes). Page 10f3‘The engagement of such teachers on contractual basis shall be made as per the instructions contained in this office letter dated 08.10.2013 and their remuneration shall be paid as per this office letter dated 21.03.2013 (similar to that of Primary teachers). Qualification for Balvatika Teachers shall be as prescribed by NCTE. (#) Senior Secondary class (Class XII or its equivalent) from a recognized board with at least 50% marks & (ii) Diploma in Nursery Teacher Education/ Pre-school Education / Early childhood Education Programme (D.E.C.Ed) of duration of not less than two years or B.Ed(Nursery) from NCTE recognized Instituion. Three caregivers (or helpers) shall be engaged by each of the KVs at the rate of one per Balvatika class. Caregivers (or helpers) shall be engaged through the process of outsourcing. Qualification for care giver or helper shall be as prescribed by NCERT /NCPCR. w ‘Secondary class (Class X or its equivalent) from a recognized board, minimum 18 years of age and should have induction training in pre school Education. Or Any person possessing skill training /adequate training as prescribed by NIPCCD, NSDC or any other institution recognized by the Central Government/ appropriate Government/Recognized University /Board. (ii) Salary for helpers shall be as per the rates plicable for semi-skilled persons . MIL. Class rooms, furniture and other resources: The identified class rooms shall be made as attractive and colourful spaces, for the young children. Age appropriate furniture shall be procured by the respective KVs. The KVs may either opt to have hexagonal tables and chairs or any other suitable design as deemed fit. However, it should be ensured that these are safe for the usage by young children. Further, smart class facilities including good audio systems, other Teaching Aids, Storage Facilities etc. shall also be made available in each of these classes A.sum of Rs.7,50,000/- (Rupees Seven lakh and fifty thousand only) at the rate of Rs.2,50,000/- per class, shall be made available as initial grant from the School Fund A/c towards these expenditure. WV, School Timing , Fees & others Duration of the school timings would be 03 hrs per day on a five day week basis and the actual timings would be decided by the respective Vidyalayas. Vacation and breaks shall be as per the existing schedule. Uniforms are not prescribed for these classes. Fee structure shall be similar to existing Class I as per this office letter dated 31.03.2013.
