Heron’s Formula

1. In a∆ ABC it is given that base =12 cm and height =5 cm. Find its area.
2. The lengths of three sides of a triangle are 20cm, 16cm and 12 cm, find the
area of the triangle.
3. The base of an isosceles triangle is 8 cm long and each of its equal sides
measures 6 cm. Find the area of the triangle.
4. Find the area of a triangle whose sides are 4.5 cm and 1 cm and perimeter
10.5 cm.
5. The sides of a triangle are in the ratio of 3:4: 5 and its perimeter is 510 m.
What is the measure of its greatest side?
6 . Find the area of an equilateral triangle with side 10 cm.
7. The perimeter of a right triangle is 30 cm. If its hypotenuse is 13 cm, then
what are two sides?
8. Find area of isosceles triangle whose one side is 10cm greater than each of its equal sides and
perimeter is 100cm.
9. Find area of a triangle whose perimeter is 180cm and its two sides are 80cm and 18 cm calculate
altitude of tria gle corresponding to its shortest side.
