ESTABLISHMENT
OF A CAREGIVER
CENTRE
Introduction:

The population of elderly individuals is increasing rapidly in our society, and many of them are in need
of assistance with their daily activities. Caregiving is a vital aspect of providing support to the elderly
and individuals with disabilities. However, caregiving can be a challenging task, both physically and
emotionally. Therefore, there is a growing need to establish a caregiver centre that will offer support
and resources to caregivers.

Purpose:

The purpose of this proposal is to seek funding and support to establish a caregiver centre that will
provide resources and support to caregivers in our community. The centre will be a place where
caregivers can come together to share their experiences, learn from one another, and access
resources that will help them in their caregiving journey.

Objectives:

The objectives of the caregiver centre are as follows:

To provide a safe and supportive environment for caregivers to share their experiences, challenges,
and successes.

To provide educational resources and training for caregivers to enhance their knowledge and skills.

To provide respite care services to caregivers to allow them to take a break from their caregiving
duties.

To provide access to support groups, counseling services, and other resources to promote the well-
being of caregivers.

To establish partnerships with community organizations and agencies to enhance the resources and
services available to caregivers.

Services:

The caregiver centre will provide the following services:

Support groups: Caregivers will have the opportunity to participate in support groups where they can
share their experiences and learn from one another.

Educational resources: The centre will offer workshops, training sessions, and educational resources
to enhance caregivers' knowledge and skills.
Respite care services: The centre will provide respite care services to caregivers, giving them a break
from their caregiving duties.

Counseling services: The centre will offer counseling services to caregivers to help them manage
stress, cope with difficult emotions, and improve their overall well-being.

Information and referral services: The centre will provide information and referrals to other community
resources that may be helpful to caregivers.

Budget:

The establishment of a caregiver centre will require the following resources:

Rent and utilities: $60,000 per year

Staffing: $150,000 per year

Equipment and supplies: $30,000

Marketing and outreach: $10,000

Miscellaneous expenses: $5,000

Funding:
