What Is A Medical Lab Assistant

Course?
Medical laboratory assistants work directly with patients and other healthcare workers

laboratory tasks. It's a job that requires good people and communication skills, a

The medical lab assistant course is a program based on skills. The curriculum of the
program is based on the national (CSMLS) and provincial (MLPAO) standards of
practice for medical laboratory assistants and technicians (MLA/T) who are just starting
out. Students should focus on collecting blood samples, doing ECGs, using laboratory
equipment, learning medical terms, and using the computer in the lab. Students will also
