Supercharger
A supercharger is an air compressor that increases the pressure or density of air supplied to
an internal combustion engine. This gives each intake cycle of the engine more oxygen,
letting it burn more fuel and do more work, thus increasing the power output.
Power for the supercharger can be provided mechanically by means of a belt, shaft, or
chain connected to the engine's crankshaft.

Turbocharger
A turbocharger also known as turbo, is a turbine-driven, forced induction device that
increases internal combustion engine's power output by forcing extra compressed air into
the combustion chamber
This improves power output over a naturally aspirated engine as the turbo can force more
air into the cylinder resulting in higher power output

TRANSMISSION

Transmission is a system which helps to transmits Power &Troque

which is grenated from Engine to the wheels with the help of clutches.

Classification of Transmission
• Mannual Transmission
• Automatic Transmission
ENGINE OVERHAULING

A car engine overhaul is usually done when there are serious problems with a
car and its engine. During an overhaul the entire engine is disassembled and
then evaluated of the condition of the internal components to identify the
source of the problems and fix them.
ENGINE OVERHAULING

Steps of Engine overhauling

 Disassembling the engine.
 Inspection and measurement of disassembled parts
 Reassembly of the engine.
ENGINE OVERHAULING

Disassembling the engine

Removal of the engine connections and components and

separating the engine from the chassis.
 Removing the battery, drain the oil and coolants
 Removing all sensors and labelling them
 Removing the Exhaust, HP lines ,fuel lines
 Removing and keeping every single nut and bolt.
 Removing the timing belts ,alternator and pumps
 Removing the camshaft and engine head.
 Removing the pistons and crank shaft.

Cleaning and inspection of the parts

The parts that are removed from the engine are cleaned
using oils or kerosene or dry air for certain components.
 Bore diameter of cylinder at BDC and TDC.
 Inspection of gasket.
 wearing
 Piston ring clearance
ENGINE OVERHAULING

Reassembly of the engine

Once the problem is resolved and all the parts are checked , the engine is reassembled
with all the connections.
The engine is reassembled the same way it was dismantled and while assembling ,all the
bolts are tightened using a torque wrench.

Steering System
 It is the process of running the vehicle in the desired
direction by turning, usually the front wheels.
 For effective control of the vehicle throughout its speed
range with safety, proper steering is necessary.
