This list provides an estimated timeframe on when Xcel Energy plans to install smart meters in your area. About 90 days before receiving your smart meter, you will receive a
notice on your bill about your meter exchange. Prior to the installation, you’ll also receive a postcard and letter or email with more information.
Smart meters may be installed outside of the estimated timeframes below for different customer types (residential, commercial, solar, etc.). Some customers may receive their
meters later than the timeframes, as Xcel Energy works to add additional technology to support all customers.
