1. Simple present tense

Rumus : (S +Verb 1 + O)
Sentence : I eat an grape
(Saya makan anggur)

2. Simple present Continous tense

Rumus : (S + to be (Am, is, Are) + Verb 1 -ing + O) Sentence :
She is reading the magazine (Dia sedang membaca majalah)
3. Simple past tense
Rumus : ( S + Verb2 + O)
Sentence : I went to Jogja last year
(Saya pergi ke Jogja tahun lalu)

4. Simple past continous tense

Rumus : ( S + To be 2 (was/were) + Verb 1 –ing)
Sentence : He was studying while Reza ate snack
(Dia sedang belajar sambil Reza makan snack)

5. Present perfect tense

Rumus : ( S + has/have + Verb 3)
Sentence : I have stayed here for 10 years
(Saya telah tinggal di sini selama 10 tahun)

6. Present perfect continuous tense

Rumus : (S + has/have + been +Verb 1 – ing + O)
Sentence : He has been working for 8 hours
(Dia telah bekerja selama 8 jam)

7. Past perfect tense

Rumus : ( S + had + Verb 3 )
Sentence : He had been a magazine report before he became a businessman
(Dia pernah menjadi reporter majalah sebelum menjadi pebisnis)

8. Past perfect continuous tense

Rumus : ( S + had + been + Verb –ing )
Sentence : I had been waiting here for 1 hours before finally the train came
(Saya telah menunggu di sini selama 1 jam sebelum akhirnya kereta datang)

9. Simple Future tense

Rumus : ( S + Will / Shall + Verb 1 + O )
: ( S + be (is/are/am) + going to + verb 1 )
Sentence : You will ein the race
(Anda akan memenangkan perlombaan)
 : They are going to come
(Mereka akan datang)

10. Future Continous tense

Rumus : ( S + Will / Shall + be + Verb – ing )
Sentence : I will be walking out on Carita beach tomorrow morning
(Saya akan berjalan-jalan di pantai Carita besok pagi)

11. Future perfect tense

Rumus : ( S + Will + Have + Verb 3 )
Sentence : We will have arrived in office at eight o’clock
(Kami akan tiba di kantor pukul delapan)

12. Future perfect continous tense

Rumus : ( S + Will + Have + Been + Verb – ing )
Sentence : I will have been studying in German for a year by the end of next year
(Saya akan telah belajar bahasa Jerman selama satu tahun pada akhir tahun depan)

13. Simple Past future tense

Rumus : ( S + Would / Should + verb 1 )
Sentence : Yesterday I would go to office, but it was rain
(Kemarin saya akan pergi ke kantor, tapi hujan)

14. Past future continuous tense

Rumus : ( S + Would / Should + be + V1- ing )
Sentence : My wife would be cooking cake at this hour yesterday morning
(Istri saya akan memasak kue pada jam ini kemarin pagi)

15. Past future perfect tense

Rumus : ( S + Would / Should + Have + Verb 3 )
Sentence : I would graduate from University last year if had finished writing thesis
(Saya akan lulus dari Universitas tahun lalu jika sudah selesai menulis tesis)

16. Past future perfect continous tense

Rumus : ( S + Would / Should + Have + Been + Verb –ing )
Sentence : I would have been staying German for a year, but I had been sick
(Saya akan tinggal di Jerman selama setahun, tetapi saya sakit)

1. Simple present tense

Subject + infinitive (V1) (+s/es) / to be (is, am, are) + Object

Example :
Ilona always works very hard in the company.

2. Present continuous tense

Subject + to be (is, am, are) + Ving.

Example :
 Firah is typing a message.

3 Simple past tense

Subject + Verb II (past form)
Example :
Zhafran washed his motorcycle 2 days ago.

4 Past continuous tense

Subject + was/were + Ving.
Example :
Tsabita was watching a movie at 4 p.m. this evening.

5 Present perfect tense

Subject + has/have + V3
Example :
Arya has eaten.

6 Present perfect continuous tense

Subject + has/have + been + Ving.
Example :
Reza has been working here since 2015.

7. Past perfect tense

Subject + Had + Verb III (past participle form)

Example :

Alya had finished her designs before she went to work yesterday.
8. Past perfect continuous tense

Subject + had + been + Ving.

Example :

Bima said that he had been waiting here 3 hours.

9. Simple future tense

Subject + “WILL/ BE GOING TO” + Verb (present form)

Example :

Alan is going to be a doctor after he graduate next year.

10. Future continuous tense

Subject + “WILL/BE GOING TO” + “BE” + Verb (continuous form)

Example :

Tara will be studying English tonight at 7 p.m.

11. Future perfect tense

Subject + “WILL HAVE” + Verb III (past participle form).

Example :

Ariana will have finished the task by next Friday.

12. Future perfect continuous tense

Subject + “WILL HAVE BEEN” + Verb-ing (continuous form)

Example :

They will have been renovating their office for three months.
13. Simple past future tense

Subject + WOULD + Verb (present form)

Example :

I would bring my camera if I knew the view was amazing.

14. Past future continuous tense

Subject + “SHOULD/WOULD BE” + Verb-ing (continuous form)

Example :

I made a promise that I would be doing my homework all day long tomorrow.

15. Past future perfect tense

Subject + SHOULD/WOULD HAVE + Verb III (past participle form)

Example :

She told the students that they should have finished the homework this morning.

16. Past future perfect continuous tense

I heard that you should have been teaching here for ten years by this March.

I would be attending the conference if I was in Jakarta.

15. Past Future Perfect Tense

I should have seen Shinta if I had come earlier.

IV. Present Perfect Continuous tense

Subject + HAS/HAVE + BEEN + Verb -ing (continuous form)
1. She has been writing a blog since this morning.
2. They have not been talking to me for the whole week.

V. Simple Past Tense

Subject + Verb II (past form)
1. Last night she stared at the sky.

VI. Past continuous Tense

Subject + WAS/WERE + Verb -ing (continuous form)
1. They were playing hide and seek in my house.

VII. Past Perfect Tense

Subject + HAD + Verb III (past participle form)
1. We already had learned about science .
2. He had not met his mom until that day.
3. Had you said something scary to him in the cafetaria just now?
VIII. Past Perfect Continuous Tense
Subject + HAD + BEEN + Verb -ing (continuous form)
1. I had been thinking about my test the whole day.
2. She had not been listening to my favorite song since i told her to listen to that song.
3. Had they been doing their homework?

IX. Simple Future Tense

Subject + “WILL/ BE GOING TO” + Verb (present form)
1. I will send some christmas gifts for my family.
2. We will not do some exercise next week.
3. Will you go to cinema with them to watch movie tomorrow?

X. Future continuous tense

Subject + “WILL/BE GOING TO” + “BE” + Verb -ing (continuous form)
1. I will be setting my alarm because i often oversleep.
2. She will not be leaving school at lunchtime.
3. Will you be playing soccer with them after we have lunch?

XI. Future Perfect Tense

Subject + “WILL HAVE” + Verb III (past participle form)
1. She will have taken a test for driver license tomorrow.
2. We will not have done this game.
3. Will he have founded his lost cellphone?

XII. Future Perfect Continuous Tense

Subject + “WILL HAVE BEEN” + Verb-ing (continuous form)
1. We will have been doing this homework all-day.
2. She will not been having a tomato juice because she doesn’t like it.
3. Will you been having a dinner with that guy this night?

XIII. Past Future Tense

Subject + WOULD + Verb (present form)
Subject + WAS/WERE + GOING TO + Verb (Present Form)
1. I would read this book for a whole day.
2. She was not going to buy a new car for her.
3. Would you take my bag at my room?

XIV. Past Future Continuous Tense

Subject + “SHOULD/WOULD BE” + Verb-ing (continuous form)
1. You should be cleaning your room because it’s too dirty.
2. I should not be eating that mango because it’s already rotten.
3. Should we be celebrating our graduation?

XV. Past Future Perfect Tense

Subject + SHOULD/WOULD HAVE + Verb III (past participle form)
1. I would have met my grandma.
2. She should have driven her car because she already has a driver license
3. Would you have eaten my apple?

XVI. Past Future Perfect Continuous Tense

Subject + WOULD HAVE BEEN + Verb -ing (continuous form)
1. I would have been thinking about my work.
2. He did not know that he would have been doing his homework for a whole day.
3. Would they have been preparing the party for 3 hours before the invitees arrive?

1. Simple Present Tense

Fungsi dari Simple present tense adalah untuk menyatakan fakta, kebiasaan, atau
kejadian yang terjadi pada saat ini.
Rumus :

• Kalimat Positif : Subject + Verb-1

Contoh Kalimat : I live in Depok.
2. Present Continuous Tense
Present Continuous Tense merupakan bentuk tenses yang menunjukan suatu tindakan
yang masih berlangsung sekarang atau ketika pembicaraan itu sudah dimulai, dan belum
berakhir ketika pembicaraan itu berlangsung.
Rumus :

• Kalimat Positif : S + to be + Verb-ing

Contoh Kalimat : Alma is reading a book.

3. Simple Past Tense

Simple Past Tense ini sangatlah sederhana karena hanya ingin menjelaskan saja kejadian
atau aktivitas yang terjadi di masa lalu.
Rumus :

• Kalimat Positif : S + Verb-2

Contoh Kalimat : She was still single in 2010.

4. Past Continuous Tense

Past Continuous Tense ini adalah tense yang menunjukkan aktivitas yang berlangsung di
masa lampau.
Rumus :

• Kalimat Positif : S + was/were + Ving

Contoh Kalimat : I was eating apple yesterday in the evening.
5. Present Perfect Tense
Present perfect tense adalah bentuk kata kerja yang meyatakan suatu aksi (action) yang
dimulah di masa lalu, dan telah selesai pada waktu tertentu sebelum detik ini (sekarang).
Rumus :

• Kalimat Positif : S + has/have + V3

Contoh Kalimat : I have lived in Jakarta for six years.

6. Present Perfect Continuous Tense

Present Perfect Continuous Tense adalah bentuk tense yang digunakan untuk
menyatakan aktivitas yang telah dimulai di masa lalu dan masih berlanjut sampai
sekarang, maupun yang sudah berakhir di masa lalu pula.
Rumus :

• Kalimat Positif : S + has/have + been + Ving

Contoh Kalimat : My sister has been running for half an hour.

7. Past Perfect Tense

Past Perfect Tense merupakan tense yang bertujuan untuk menyatakan suatu aktivitas
yang sudah terjadi di masa lalu.
Rumus :

• Kalimat Positif : S + had + V3.

Contoh Kalimat : Kevin had repaired his laptop before I borrowed it.
8. Past Perfect Continuous Tense
Past Perfect Continuous Tense adalah tense yang menunjukkan sebuah aktifitas yang
telah terjadi di masa lalu dan masih berlangsung di waktu tertentu di masa lalu juga.
Rumus :

• Kalimat Positif : S + had + been + Ving.

Contoh Kalimat : She had been working there before she moved to my
office.

9. Simple Future Tense

Simple Future Tense ini adalah sebuah tense yang menyatakan sebuah aktivitas yang
terjadi di masa depan (yang akan datang) atau masih berupa rencana.
Rumus :

• Kalimat Positif : S + will + V1.

Contoh Kalimat : He will send You a letter next week.

10. Future Continuous Tense

Future Continuous Tense merupakan tense yang menyatakan sebuah aktifitas yang
sedang berlangsung di masa depan.
Rumus :

• Kalimat Positif : S + will + be + Ving.

Contoh Kalimat : I will be studying English tonight at 8 p.m.
11. Future Perfect Tense
Future Perfect Tense adalah sebuah tense yang digunakan untuk menunjukan aktifitas
yang telah selesai di masa depan.
Rumus :

• Kalimat Positif : S + will + have + V3.

Contoh Kalimat : They will have studied.

12. Future Perfect Continuous Tense

Future Perfect Continuous Tense adalah sebuah tense yang menunjukkan sebuah
aktifitas yang sedang berlangsung dengan rentang waktu tertentu di masa depan.
Rumus :

• Kalimat Positif : S + will + have + been + Ving.

Contoh Kalimat : Jack will have been eating.

13. Simple Past Future Tense

Past Future Tense adalah sebuah tense yang digunakan untuk mengungkapkan sebuah
keinginan yang tidak terwujud. Dikatakan Past Future karena si pelaku ini akan
melakukan sesuatu di masa depan tapi gagal karena sesuatu di masa lalu.
Rumus :

• Kalimat Positif : (S + would + V-1) atau (S + was/were + going to + V-1)

Contoh Kalimat : They would attend to this seminar.
14. Past Future Continuous Tense
Past Future Continuous Tense merupakan sebuah tense yang akan dan sedang
berlangsung di masa lalu. Maka aktivitas yang akan di lakukan di masa depan itu tidak
jadi dilakukan karena suatu hal di masa lalu.
Rumus :
• Kalimat Positif: S + would + be + Ving.
Contoh Kalimat : We would be watching the performance if Sari wasn’t
late.

15. Past Future Perfect Tense

Past Future Perfect Tense adalah sebuah tense yang menyatakan sebuah kejadian yang
akan terjadi dan sudah selesai di masa lampau. Jadi kejadian yang akan dilakukan ini
tidak jadi dilakukan di masa lalu karena suatu hal, atau bisa juga hanya sebatas angan-
angan semata.
Rumus :
• Kalimat Positif : S + should/would + have + V3.
Contoh Kalimat : They would have cleaned the room when their
neighbors came.

16. Past Future Perfect Continuous

Past Future Perfect Continuous ini merupakan sebuah tenses yang menunjukkan sebuah
aktifitas yang sedang akan terjadi dan masih berlanjut di masa lampau. Past Future
Perfect Continuous Tense memakai keterangan waktu lampau dan memiliki durasi
tertentu yang menunjukkan suatu aktivitas sedang berlangsung dari suatu masa ke suatu
masa.
Rumus :

• Kalimat Positif : S + should/would + have + been + Ving.

Contoh Kalimat : We should have been practicing our new dance.

1. SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE (Subject + Verb 1 (s/es))

Menunjukkan fakta, kebiasaan atau kejadian yang terjadi pada saat ini.
Example : She reads book in the library every monday.

2. PRESENT CONTINUOUS TENSE (Subject + am/is/are + Verb-ing)

Menunjukkan aksi yang sedang berlangsung.
Example : Now I am studying in ABK PMI Jakarta University.
3. PRESENT PERFECT TENSE (Subject + Has/Have + Verb 3)
Menunjukkan aksi yang masih sedang berlangsung atau baru saja selesai.
Example : We have already finished our homework.

4. PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUOUS TENSE (Subject + has/have + been + Verb-ing)

Menunjukkan aksi yang telah selesai di masa lampau atau telah dimulai di masa lalu dan
terus berlanjut sampai sekarang.
Example : We have been studying in ABK PMI Jakarta University since 2020.

5. SIMPLE PAST TENSE (Subject + Verb 2)

Menunjukkan kejadian yang terjadi di masa lampau.
Example : My father went to bali a month ago.

6. PAST CONTINUOUS TENSE (Subject + was/were + Verb-ing)

Menunjukkan aksi sedang terjadi pada waktu tertentu di masa lampau.
Example : I was watching TV when you knocked on my door.

7. PAST PERFECT TENSE (Subject + had + Verb 3)

Menunjukkan suatu kejadian yang terjadi sebelum waktu tertentu di masa lampau.
Example : We had finished our homework before Wednesday.

8. PAST PERFECT CONTINUOUS TENSE (Subject + Had + been + Verb-ing)

Menunjukkan aksi yang terjadi di masa lampau dan telah selesai pada suatu titik waktu
tertentu di masa lampau.
Example : I had been playing football since morning.
9. SIMPLE FUTURE TENSE (Subject + will/shall + Verb 1)
Menunjukkan aksi di masa yang akan datang atau masih berupa rencana.
Example : I shall go to the park tomorrow morning.

10. FUTURE CONTINUOUS TENSE (Subject + will/shall + be + Verb-ing)

Menunjukkan aksi yang terjadi pada waktu tertentu di masa yang akan datang.
Example : He will be playing football tomorrow morning.

11. FUTURE PERFECT TENSE (Subject + will have + Verb 3)

Menunjukkan aksi yang sudah berakhir pada waktu tertentu di masa yang akan datang.
Example : He will have played football by next sunday.

12. FUTURE PERFECT CONTINUOUS TENSE (Subject + will have been + Verb-ing)
Menunjukkan aksi yang terjadi sebelum waktu tertentu di masa yang akan datang.
Example : He will have been watching TV for fifty minutes.

13. PAST FUTURE TENSE (Subject + Would + Verb 1)

Digunakan dalam kalimat yang tidak langsung.
 Example : I told that I would leave in one hour.

14. PAST FUTURE CONTINUOUS TENSE (Subject + should/would be + Verb-ing)

Digunakan dalam kalimat yang tidak langsung.
Example : I told that I would be doing my work all day long.

15. PAST FUTURE PERFECT TENSE (Subject + should/would have + Verb 3)

Menunjukkan aksi pada waktu yang akan datang, masa lampau tetapi aksi yang terjadi
harus sudah selesai sebelum waktu yang akan datang.
Example : I would have been gone to the bank after class.

16. PAST FUTURE PERFECT CONTINUOUS TENSE (Subject + would have been + Verb-ing)
Menerangkan kejadian yang telah dilakukan di masa lalu.
Example : He said that I should have been working here for seven hours by that time.
