REPORT ON THE EVENTS CONDUCTED BY DEPARTMENT OF

BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION IN THE MONTH OF OCTOBER

1) Intercollegiate Competition as part of The International Coffee Day


The Department of Business Administration, St. Albert’s College (Autonomous), organised three
competitions as part of the International Coffee Day –
The Department organised the competition “A Brew In A Cup” where the participants got an
opportunity to surprise us with a coffee recipe. Ms. Shreya R Kurandwad from St. Joseph’s
College (Autonomous), Bangalore secured the First Prize and Ms. Meenu Raj from St. Joseph’s
College (Autonomous), Bangalore secured the Second Prize. Ms. Akhila Lal, Assistant
Professor, Department of BBA and Mr. Nivedh Eustace, Assistant Professor, Department of
BBA were the judges for the competition. Mr. Ashil Antony, Assistant Professor, Department of
BBA was the staff coordinator. Mr. Thejus V Raj and Ms. Aysha Rinas were the student
coordinators of the competition.
This was followed by an advertising competition “A Café Commercial” where the participants
are informed to prepare an advertisement for a brand-new coffee shop. Ms. Akshara Vinod from
Toc H Institute of Science and Technology, Arakkunnam bagged the First Prize and Ms. Mary
Tania Simenthy from St. Albert’s College (Autonomous) Ernakulam and Mr. Prabhu Murugan
from The New College, Chennai bagged the Second and Third Prizes respectively. Dr. Ajitha
Haridasan, Assistant Professor, Department of BBA and Mr. Ashil Antony, Assistant Professor,
Department of BBA were the judges as well as staff coordinators for the competition. Ms.
Aleena Pious and Mr. Antony Lithin were the student coordinators of the competition.
The Department also conducted a competition “A Latte Reminiscence” where the participants
can share the experience related to coffee. Ms. Rhea Thadathil from St. Paul’s Institute of
Communication Education, Pune bagged the First Prize. Ms. Anitha S and Ms. S V Aarthi from
St. Joseph’s College for Women, Tirupur secured Second and Third Prizes respectively. Dr.
Shobita P S, Assistant Professor, Department of BBA and Mr. Relphin Xavier, Assistant
Professor, Department of English were the judges for the competition. Dr. Shobita P S, Assistant
Professor, Department of BBA and Mr. Ashil Antony, Assistant Professor, Department of BBA
were the staff coordinators. Ms. Mary Tania Simenthy and Ms. Hridhya Sudharshanan were the
student coordinators.
2) On October 14th Department of Business Administration,
St.Albert’s college(Autonomous), in association with Albertian
Incubation centre, Institutional Innovation Council & IEDC
organized YET(Young Entrepreneurial Talk) an international
Webinar Series on “Entrepreneurship" - Necessity to passion to
equip and motivate the students to succeed in life.
The speaker was Mr.Giju George the Promoter-Director Mi Dairy
innovations Private Limited. The topic was Business that leaves
Footprints.The webinar was organized by Asst.Prof Akhila lal and
Asst.Prof Nivedh Eustace .

3) On October 27th the Department Of Business Administration


conducted an intercollegiate painting competition as part of
celebrating Vigilance awareness week 2020. The theme was
vigilant India and Prosperous India. It was organized by Asst.
Prof. Akhila Lal and Dr. Shobita PS.
