C. Lesson Proper Airha: Action words are words that describe
actions.
Our topic this morning is all about “Using will with
Action Words that show futurity or the form of the
Future Tense of the Verb”.
Action Words – are verbs as you might guess which
word that describes actions.
What is action word, Airha? Adrianne: The examples of action words are play,
wash, fly, sweep and feed.
Nice one, Airha!
The words sing, read, bake, eat, and study are simple
forms of action words.
PJ: Future Tense is used to describe a future event.
Who can give me another example of simple form of
action words? Yes, Adrianne?
Wow! Excellent, Adrianne!
Future Tense – is the verb tense used to describe a
future event or state of being.
What is future tense? Yes, Pj?
Very Good, PJ!
A future tense is a verb form that generally marks the
event described by the verb as not having happened
yet, but expected to happen in the future.
The simple form of action words follow the word will.
When you’re talking about the future, “will” is a very
common and simple way of describing what you
anticipate or plan to happen.
Will is a modal verb. This means it follows the same
rules as the other modal verbs. It only has one form of
each subject.
Example:
I will
You will
He will
She will
It will
We will
They will
The word will doesn’t change. You cannot say He
wills, or She wills. There’s no s at the end of the word
will.
After will we have the action word or the verb.
Time Adverbials – is the word that describes when, for
how long or how often a certain action or event has or
will happen.
These words and phrases can be used to tell when:

Using shall in a sentence
Shall- expressing the future tense. It is a modal verb
used to indicate future action. It is most commonly
used in sentences with “I” or “We” and is often found
in suggestions.
